Chapter Seven: I Tell My Mother About Jenny's Secret

This chapter is in Victoria's pov.

A new day of school, two months past since I saw Anna. I was thinking who could have done it. My first thought was that Jenny did it, but I known her since I was five. Fourteen years of nothing till now. There is the fact that she never aged since then, but nothing else. I did notice when Jack Peterson came to town she has been off. He did come to town before Nate's murder. But nothing.

"Victoria are you ready it's almost time to go!" My mom yelled up at me.

"Coming!" I yelled back, running down the stairs. I ate something and grabbed my book bag. I had to stay behind one year because, we moved before I started school.

"Are you ready now" my mom said. I nodded before heading to the car. I looked and found Jenny working on her bike. She looked mad and said a couple of bad words in a different language.

"Hi Jenny, everything all right?" I asked.

"Oh, hi Victoria, everything's fine. Thank you." She said getting up and wiping old off her skin.

"What language were you speaking there?" I asked her.

"Latin, I studied it in high school." She said. I got in the car, my mom got in one minute later. We both waved at Jenny, then left. Couple minutes later, I got out of the car and went in the school. I looked at the school's news wall and another person missing and two dead In their homes. I walked to my locker and saw Colin crying again. This has been going on for two months. I grabbed my stuff and walked to Colon sitting in the corner.

"Colin, we will find her I promise." I said doubting myself now.

"I hope so, but I liked her and all but it's not enough, I guess. He said sadly. Colin and Anna been dating for about two years now. Anna has been distinct from him. So I can see why he wanted to break up, from her. School went no with no problem after that. I stayed after school for a band met. After that my mom picked me up.

We drove home, it was 5:20 at the time we got home. I unpacked, did my homework and ate. It was probably 7:45 when all that was done. I went to bed early tonight or would have. I heard a male screaming, I looked outside and saw a light On at Jenny's house. I couldn't have been were the screaming was coming from. She just works late, then I heard it again and it was Jenny's house. I got up and headed to her house. Once I got there I knocked on the door. Jenny answered, but she had blood coming out of her mouth.

"I know you know Victoria, about me being a vampire and all. But if you tell anyone even your mother I will kill anyone you tell and you." She said before she closed the door on my face. I was to shocked about it. Jack Peterson was right, she was a vampire. She didn't hide it to me though. I ran back home and locked the front door. My mom must have heard me because she was down stairs already.

"Mom I need to tell you something. Jenny...Jenny's a vampire."I said quickly.

"Don't be ridiculous sweetie, go back to bed. Why would you think that to?" She asked.

"I saw it and also think about why she never aged over the fourteen period we know her. The pale-ish skin. Her eyes changing from grey to brown. The people missing over the years. And now the increase of death and missings. Since Jack Peterson go here. Jack Peterson is a famous vampire hunter. You could see the fear in her eyes when he showed up at her door. Sometimes the screaming at night. Have you seen when she cuts her hand it heals and doesn't bleed. She works at night, who works at night in Colorado." I said panting now. She looked like she was processing this now.

"Okay maybe but I want to see it with my own eyes, now to bed." she said. I started to head to bed, when I looked out the window. Across the way to Jenny's house, in the window. I saw Jenny, with a blood face. She was shaking her head. Then she smirked. I gulped and went to bed. I'm in so much trouble now. God help me. I hope your on my side now.
