Today in Maths

I'm there doing this one question, when I write 10^7 ÷ 10^2 = 10^2

My friend sitting next to me: Uhhh. 7 minus 2 isn't 2.

Me: What?

My friend: Look at the question. *points to the question*

Me: Ahhh, crap. I can't maths today.

/Like 10 Minutes later\

I end up writing 8÷2=0.4 because 8 goes into 2 0.4 times. Or so I thought.

Friend: You've done it again.

Me: *notices mistake* Again. Why, universe?
