I have used Toronto Public Library all my life, have known for decades that it is one of the best in the world, but not until this project did it awe me. Some unknown person penciled 11 titles on the back flyleaf of one Branch's copy of Richard MacFarlane's Canada's Newspaper Legend. Four are not owned by the TPL but interested me. That's why I learned that it belongs to a network broad enough to reel three of them in from other libraries across Canada, even a private collection. Bringing two of them to my Toronto TPL Branch (one came by courier from Victoria) cost me nothing; the third, $10 paid to the owner. Owners specified how long I could keep each one, and the one owner I asked for an extension allowed it.
