Dick Grayson watched his parents die. He cried. He wept. He felt broken. But he also felt his own heart harden. He felt his feelings turn cold. He felt his life turn black. When sent to Juvenile Detention Center, he took no qwelms from anyone. It was only a couple days before he took charge. His innocents was swept away. He used his eyes to manipulate the guards and workers. He used his skills to keep the other kids under him. And it worked. He was known as the King of Juvi. No one spoke of his real name. It was taboo.

The Young Justice team got another mission from Batman. They had to infiltrate Juvenile Detention Center to figure out what was transpiring in the usually reckless place. It was too calm and their were whispers that he was able to get his ears to hear. Someone called "The King" was up to something. They needed to figure out who he was, and what he was doing.
So they went to the mission. But "The King" was someone that none of them were expecting.
Wally and him met once in Gotham.
Artemis had heard of him. The escaped heir of the Court of Owls.
Megan heard about his parents death on TV.
Conner heard from Megan.
Roy was in the area with Oliver when it happened so he saw the damage.
But they never knew the boy they saw fall, would take on a new perspective of life. The ruling class.
