Before you read I want to give a quick shout out to @00fdw00  Their works are AmAzInG and If you don't check them out then you can leave (: . Also if you can't visualize this chapter think something along the lines of this video ^plz don't say it's ugly crying because that is a very accurate depiction of how it feels when you are truly lost of all hope... and also if you haven't seen Les Misérables it's a truly moving musical and I would recommend 10/10 okay continue~

Friday had come and gone. Months had passed and so had many more outings and dinners.

Matt dazzled her and was like a light in her recent months. He charmed her and cared, held her hand and kissed her softly on the cheek before going to work. He listened and helped her when she felt down and lifted her higher to the clouds, but then he ruined it.

Friday Night- Kits apartment

The two people laid intertwined in the bed, legs tangling together and hands interlaced. Matts rhythmic breathing against kits back had lulled her to an almost sleep, convincing him of her unconsciousness. In the quiet bed, in the dim moon lit room, with the faint and soothing city night life in the background, it happened.

Matt leaned closer to the sleeping Kit and slowly brushed the hair from her neck and placed a soft slow kiss near her jaw line. He moved closer to her ear and, almost as quiet as a mouse, whispered the most treasured words. i think i love you.

Kit, however, was not asleep and hearing those quiet words shook her straight into caffeinated consciousness. Every memory rushed to her head, the lies they had said the hate that dripped from their fake words. The long nights of agony behind locked doors, the forgetful mornings of headaches and grouchy denial. The feeling of worthlessness and fault. She let a tear slip out onto the pillow and held her breath. She couldn't do this to Matt, couldn't hurt him like she had so many others, couldn't lie to him.

Alas, she also couldn't hold her breath for more than a minute and a loud and sorrowful gasp escaped her lips with more following suit. Her body shook and her face felt hot, her fingers and feet lost all warmth and turned to icicles. Matt took quick action and sat up, scooping her into his arms, cradling her small figure.

His fingers felt like fire against her skin, her throat throbbed, and her head pounded and ached, but the most painful thing of all was her heart.

Her heart was broken and shattered into pieces and taped back together, and now she'd ripped the tape off and let the fragile crumbs slip into non-existence. She tried to cry but only a squeak could be made.

That word- love

She couldn't love anyone, not after the last time she tried. She let people in and all it did was hurt them. Nobody wanted to know her soppy sad story of abuse and sadness, of attempts and long lines of therapists. She could'st hurt herself anymore with the thought of burdening others.

After that night he was gone. She never let him come back, never rethought her choices of pushing him out. She was alone, and not even a knight in shining armor could change that.

A/N: ...So um. That's the end of this story, I'm sorry if it's not what you were hoping for :/ BuT I'm thinking of starting a new book. Be aware it's still a total work in progress and I still don't even know what the title will be. I'll most likely update this book notifying everyone about it.  I also don't know what I'm going to be naming the main characters so if you have any suggestions please leave them in the comments it would really help. Also, I just restarted school and it's freaking hard as fuck and my teacher yelled at me for being new and not knowing my email from last year (i wasn't there last year wth) so it might take a while for me to update and it will most likely be on the weekends (:
