Yuri
After a long, tiring day at school, Yuri finally got to ride back home. He was worn out from all the walking he had done, the idiots that called him cruel names in the hallway, and the amount of schoolwork that he didn't feel like doing. He feels a sharp tinge in his leg. All this walking through classes is making it worse. But he doesn't feel like going back to the doctors. What's the point... If they didn't want to fix his leg for good then they can stay away from him. After what happened the last time he went... After what they tried to do... He never feels like thinking about it, it only makes him hate them more.
He drives away from the school and makes his way down the most busiest street in town during after-school hours. There was a lot of waiting, but he didn't mind. He finally drives up to the two story house he inherited and opens the garage. He doesn't plan on going anywhere else tonight.
Ava
After having the car totally confiscated from her for a while, Ava usually has to walk home after school. It's a reasonably long way, but she manages to do it five days out of the week.
She leaves the school and heads out in the direction of home. She bypasses all the busy cars and bikes with a grin. Walking is better than driving in the busiest street in town after-school hours. After what seemed like forever, she finally reaches her apartment and unlocks the door. Her dad wasn't home yet, so he probably had the late shift like she did.
She walked along the long hallway of regret and made her way to her room at the end of the hall. After closing the door she collapsed onto the floor that was her bed and stared at the ceiling. She only has one solitary moment to herself before she had to change and leave for work. And she used it to just stare. Her ceiling had the indentations of those old neon stars that you pin to the ceiling so they light up at night.
She misses those stars. And she wishes the person who put them there was still here.
She shakes her head at the memory and bolts upward. She didn't have time to ponder, so she went to her closet and pulled out the only nice piece of clothing that she had. She got dressed, decided she had no reason to stay anymore and left for work.
Yuri
Yuri makes his way through the garage into the empty house. He doesn't stop to look around him, he's not in the right mood to have flashing memories. He makes his way up the stairs slowly. His knee hurt like hell, but he made it up the stairs. He walked past all the rooms filled with shame and regret and finally makes it to his room.
He goes into it and stares at the bare walls surrounding him. He was never one for sentiment. Everything he had was either in the closet where he slept or sold at the auction a few months ago.
If anyone knew that he didn't have a regular bed and slept on an air matress in the closet, the jackasses that make fun of him every day wouldn't leave him alone for sure.
He walks into his closet and sits down on the matress he had to reinflate this morning. Everyone else cleans sheets, he pumps new air. Yuri leans down on his matress for a moment and stares at the neon stars he took from one of the empty rooms down the hall. The person who they belonged to loved them so much.
He shakes his head at the memories that start to flood in, turns on his laptop and makes his way through the lives of people who are regular.
Ava
When she arrives at the resteraunt, she looks around and notices that every single table is filled. She groans, but heads into the back room for the employees and hangs her things up.
When she arrives at her usual station, Cindy comes running up to her.
"Oh my god, I'm so glad you're here! We have a party of thirty right now and Ruby was supposed to be helping me tonight, but she got sick. I need you to help me take over! "
She nods. Shes learned a long time ago not to argue.
"Alright, which tables do you need me to take over? "
Cindy gives her a list of the tables that she needs help with the most, and she gets to work.
Ava is surprised how many ignorant people there are in this world. As she tries to make way through the tables to deliver their food, they all seem to want to keep her from doing just that. Then they decide, "oh wait, it's not my fault that my food is cold, it's hers! ". She just hates people at times.
She was making her way back from delivering drinks to one table and goes back for food for another when she started getting dizzy. Only for a second to lose what she was doing. But it was enough.
She was holding her head and not watching where she was going when she bumped into Brody, one of the other waiters, causing his tray to lose balance and crash dozens of dirty plates, now in pieces, all over the floor.
She freezes, her dizziness immediately goes away and she just stares at Brody starting to clean up the plates that were still intact, just chipped. Then she snapped out of it and started helping.
They cleaned the majority of them up and got the broom for the medium pieces and the vacuum for the smallest. As she was using the broom, she notices that the people around her were finishing up filming...
She only said one word and continued sweeping... "Shit... "
