Zack casually draped his grey suit jacket over the back of the chair before sitting down and pulling his acoustic guitar onto his lap. He strummed a few chords and checked the tuning before adjusting the microphone in front of him.

"This song is for the bride and groom," Zack spoke, "May your lives be filled with happiness as you grow old together." He winked at Cassidy as he began to play a love ballad, singing gently.

Jasmine gripped Cassidy's arm excitedly. "Who would have thought, Zack Masters playing at my wedding!" Jasmine squealed in delight. The fact that Cassidy and Zack had been officially dating for the past year since reuniting in London was still a highlight for Jasmine. Cassidy just smiled, watching Zack artfully play his guitar with ease.

"Cassidy, would you mind if I stole my bride away for a dance?" Craig leaned in front of the girls with a small bow.

"As long as you take care of her," Cassidy joked.

"With my life," Craig replied as he took Jasmine's hand and guided her out onto the dancefloor in front of Zack. They swayed together in time to the music, gazing lovingly into one another's eyes as their wedding guests watched on.

"May I have this dance?" came a voice from behind Cassidy.

Cassidy turned around and smiled at Dean who looked sexy in a black suit, black shirt and silver tie. She looped her arm through his and they joined the newly married couple on the dance floor. Zack smiled at the couple as they danced. Cassidy twirled around in her lavender bridesmaid gown, unable to contain her happiness.

When Zack finished playing the song, the DJ started to play another love song through the speakers. Zack returned his guitar to its stand and strolled over to Dean and Cassidy.

"May I cut in?" Zack asked Dean.

Dean just bowed his head and twirled Cassidy into Zack waiting arms. Their lips met as they shared an embrace before starting to move to the music. Zack held Cassidy close, her head resting on his chest. Cassidy closed her eyes and smiled blissfully, she had never been happier.

Cassidy was living with a man who loved her as much as she loved him and they lived happily together in his giant house in London, where she was working her dream job. Her parents adored Zack and after Paul had given him the third degree he had warmed to him as well.

Their room in Dean's unit, Cassidy's old room when she lived there, was pitch-black when Zack began to wake Cassidy. He did so gently, a soft kiss on her lips and a tender stroke of her cheek with his fore finger.

"Cass," he whispered as her eyes fluttered open. "You need to wake up."

"What?" Cassidy mumbled, "What time is it?"

"It's early," Zack explained quietly, "But I want to show you something."

Cassidy groaned in protest as she dragged herself out of bed and found something to wear. Zack took her by the hand and led her out the door of the unit and building and out onto the street. It was practically deserted; the stars were glistening and the moon shone over the horizon.

"Where are we going?" Cassidy asked, wishing she was back in the comfort of their bed.

"It's a surprise," he smiled as they walked down the street towards the beach.

When they reached the beach, they took off their shoes and placed them off to the side and walked down onto the sand, which was cool and soft between Cassidy's toes. Zack turned to face Cassidy before they reached the water's edge. Cassidy looked out across the ocean and saw a hint of orange on the horizon as the sky began to change colours with the rising sun.

"With this rising sun, on this brand-new day, I want you to know what you mean to me," Zack declared, holding her hands in his, Cassidy turning her attention to him, "I have never felt this way about anyone, ever. I can't imagine my life without you."

"I know the feeling," Cassidy murmured.

"There's only one thing that could make me happier right now."

"Which is?" Cassidy began to feel unsure of what could be wrong.

"If you would agree to marry me," Zack seemed nervous.

Cassidy was in shock, her jaw dropped. It had been so unexpected for her. Speechless, she watched as Zack pulled a small box from his pocket and opened it. Inside sat a stunning diamond ring set in white gold.

"Please say something," Zack pleaded, "You're making me very nervous."

"Yes!" Cassidy announced happily, "Of course I will marry you!"

Zack placed the ring on her finger and pulled her into an embrace, kissing her passionately as the sun rose on the horizon, bathing them in the golden light of day.

A new day had risen on the next chapter of their lives together, where it would go, was anyone's guess. But Cassidy knew that as long as she was in Zack's arms, their love would keep them together no matter how much distance came between them or what the media put in their stories, Cassidy and Zack would come out on top together. Their love was a stronger force than anything in the world.
