Fira stood in front of the to the tailoring room for about ten minutes now. She was procrastinating going into the room. She already had seen a bunch of plans her mother was making for her dress and she hated it. It was to be a extremely low cut, long sleeve, puffed up, poofy pink sparkly dress. It was everything she could hate in a outfit merged into one. Well except short but it wouldn't be a ball gown if her mother had made it short. After taking a deep breath, her eighth in the last ten minutes, and remembering Tommy's praise she turned the door knob and opened the doors. Right away she was grabbed by three woman in maid outfits. They yanked her behind a screen so quickly she almost missed the "You're late" glare from her mother. Within what felt like seconds the three maids had yanked off her outfit and had squeezed her into a tight corset and a white petticoat. She couldn't really fight back as she could no longer breath as they shoved her into the middle room. For a moment they all ran away into what looked like another room but she was sure it was the tailoring closet.

This gave her mother the opportunity to scowled her, "What took you so long? You know we must complete your dress plans. We will need to allow time for the stitching, adjustments, and all of the fittings. We only have three days and we have to get your birthday dress completed as well as the dress for your wedding to Jo..."

"Mother! I have not yet stated who I shall be marrying and I would appreciate it if you do not try to plan my wedding until after my party," Fira snapped.

"Fira Marie Felameian!" Her mother screamed as the three maids burst open the door to the tailoring closet their arms full of what seemed like hundreds of rolls of fabrics. Her mother sent her a glare that told Fira that this discussion would come up again and she would be in trouble for snapping at her mother.

The first maid, a short plump woman with dark brown hair, pulled Fira onto a small pedestal almost completely surrounded by mirrors. Quickly the second maid, a thin tall woman with faded red hair, began laying fabrics of all different colors and shades over her skin. The third maid, a slightly elderly woman with graying hair, yanked fabric away as Fira's mother nodded or shook her head, creating large piles of "Yes" and "No" fabrics. Fira hated them all. All of the fabric were in light colored shades with about half of them being sheer or containing glitter. All Fira could do was stare at the mirrors surrounding her as she watched her mother make decision after decision on how her dress should look. She held her head up high and tried to focus her thoughts on anything else as she held her tears in. Her mind led her away from the room and the maid as she focused on how she was suppose to make this decision that was going to affect the rest of her life.

She knew that the only person as the party she would know that might even think about being with her was Azroth and he probably wouldn't want to get married just to save her from marring Josue. Even if he was all for the "Be with the one you love" stuff he should get to be with the person he loves one day. She needed to find someone who would actually want to be with her. But how could she with only three days to get to know someone. Tommy's words popped into her head and a smile graced her lips. 'Tommy actually cares about what I think.' She thought to herself. 'But I can't expect him to marry me. I just met him, besides he probably has some girl back home he wants to spend his life with. He's only going to be here for a little while anyway. I need to find a person willing to help me, I can't ask Tommy to give up his life for me.'

A pinch to her arm snapped her back into the real world, "Ouch. What was that for?" Fira asked as she rubbed her arm.

"Miss Fira we've completed the selection for your dress, You can change and leave now," the plump maid said.

Fira's eyes wandered around the room. The room looked as if a hurricane had wander through it. She was amazed that they had decided a dress design in this mess. She noticed her mother was gone and she turned to the elderly maid, "Where did my mother go?"

"Her majesty had to go greet the guest she said she would see you at dinner," the woman told her.

Fira nodded and thought to herself,'I guess she wanted to get to know Tommy's mother a bit more.' She shrugged and stepped down from the pedestal. She had completely forgotten about the corset and almost fell over. The tall maid caught her and led her behind the screen and began to loosen the corset. Fira felt her lungs burn as oxygen completely filled them. Once the maid had helped her out of the petticoat and corset she got dressed in her jeans and dark red shirt. She needed to talk to her sister. For only being thirteen Fikia knew what she wanted with her life maybe her sister could help her make a decision on what to do.
