-----------------------------

When she got down stairs she saw a young boy about her age and an older woman standing with him. "Yes mother, you called me?" she asked though she knew the answer.

"Yes Fira and I have been calling you for awhile now. I need you to get your dress done and now we have more things to deal with." said Elle her voice slightly tense.

The lady said, "It is okay we can go find another place to stay for the night if you can just help us with some directions."

"That's nonsense we are pleased to have guest here. May I ask your names?" asked Elle, with an apologetic look on her face.

"I'm Sarah and this is my son, Tommy." said Sarah. Fira watch the woman closely her face was smooth and glowing, for a woman who was old enough to have a son Fira's age. Her short brown hair was trimmed neatly around her face and it made her bright green eyes stand out even more. She was wearing a dark green dress that wrapped around her upper body showing off her strong feminine curves and flowed out, just slightly, right below her waist. The dress stopped just past her knees showing off a pair of very detailed and extravagant black sandals. Sarah looked over and saw Fira staring at her and she smiled.

"Nice to meet you ma'am, "said Fira.

"No need for the ma'am uh....I'm sorry I haven't got your name," replied Sarah.

"I'm Queen Elle and this is my daughter Princess Fira," said Elle before her daughter could speak. Sarah's and Tommy's eyes widen because they had no clue they were in the house of royalty.

Tommy speaking for the first time said, "You're a queen and princess?"

Fira's eyes darted to Tommy. She hadn't really been paying any attention to the boy but up close he was actually really cute. His untrimmed black hair fell slightly into his face covering over his glowing green eyes. His loose t-shirt still bulged over his muscular arms. His pants hung loosely on his waist, making them appear to be baggy. She lifted her face up to his as he pushed the hair from his face. Her eyes met his green eyes and she answered, "Yes we are. Are you not from around here?" She knew that anyone who lived in the kingdom or even one of the neighboring kingdoms would know who she and her mother were.

"No we are from Safe Haven, a small city to the north," Sarah replied smiling.

Fira looked at her mother who simply shook her head then back at Sarah, "I've never heard of Safe Haven which kingdom is it in?"

"Safe Haven is a small unruled city just between the kingdoms of Narnessia and Orintello. We are one of the few cities that have been left unclaimed," Sarah said.

Elle nodded "I see it's one of the cities that has been left for the powerless."

Sarah frowned, "Well I wouldn't say that but..."

"What do you mean powerless?" Tommy asked interupting his mother.

Fira spoke before her mother could, "She doesn't mean powerless as in, none of the people have powers or that you're weak. I'm sure there are plenty of wizards in your city. She simply meant it was a city where no Natroosvis, or natural borns, live."

"Oh, yes exactly," Sarah said quickly her voice a little shaky

Elle smiled, "That explains why I hadn't heard of it. Well welcome to Fraestia I'll get one of the maids to show you to the rooms you will be staying in."

"No mother I can show them to the rooms," Fira said hoping her mother would agree so she could aviod the party planning for a bit longer.

Elle turned her head sharply to Fira, "Fira we still have to finish your dress, make sure your sister's dress is done, arrange a selection of all of the music, prepare a full menu, discuss your speech, design and decorate the hall, and if all goes well I'd like to have the dress ready for..."

"Mother!" Fira interupted. By now both Tommy and Sarah were staring at them with with a strange look in their eyes. "I can show them their rooms and by the time I finish you will be ready for me. I can't do much anyways until you get it started."

Elle sighed, "Fine but do hurry we only have 3 days you know." She turned and rushed out of the room.

Fira sighed as she turned back to their guest. "I'll show you to rooms that you can stay in," she told Sarah and Tommy. They nodded with uncertainty and Fira led Sarah and Tommy out of the room, and up the stairs. She led Sarah to the room she was going to be in first. As they walked down the gold hall, Tommy kept glancing over at Fira. After the fifth time of her catching him she broke the silence, "Is there something you'd like to know?"

He stared at the ground and then stopped, forcing everyone else to stop walking, "I was kinda wonder what your power is?"

Fira grinned, "Oh that's easy." She lit a small fireball in her hand, "Our family rules over fire." Tommy gave her a funny look and then burst out laughing. "What?" Fira asked.

"Your...your...your name," Tommy mumbled between his laughter. "Fire...Fira...Fire..."

Fira sighed, "Yeah I know my parents suck at names. My sister's name is Fikia. It's like the only thing they could think of was fire when we were born."

Tommy tried to calm his laughter and Fira even heard Sarah trying to hide her snickers. As Tommy finally calmed himself he spoke, "Yeah but the name Fikia is a bit off of fire, but your name is really just one letter different." Fira huffed and looked away. After a moment of complete silence she felt a hand on her shoulder, "Sorry I shouldn't have laughed. I just couldn't help myself."

Fira sighed, "It's fine." Right then Sarah let out a loud yawn and Fira giggled, "Let's get your mother to her room before she decides to sleep in this hall." Fira turned and headed down the hall again Tommy and Sarah behind her.

So what do you think so far? I'm really sorry about taking so long unfortunatly I had lost access to a computer but now thanks to my husbands new phone I shouldn't have any issues updating. This chapter is actually only a third of what I had written orginally I decided it's easier for me to update sooner if I make the chapters about this size. Hopefully I'll be able to update sooner but I should be ready by Friday again.. Thanks so much to those who are reading. I would love to see a comment or vote by next week.
