The doors to the human chantry opened up, and she takes a look up at the sky hoping to see the deep blue she's always loved. Furiousness and sadness filled her "who could do such a thing to the sky" Amber cried as horrible thoughts plagued her mind.
"we call it the breach... Every hour it grows while it spits out demons from the fade" "it's not the only rift, but it is the largest, and now we have reason to believe that that mark on your hand could possibly close them" Cassandra looked at Amber as she announced a hopeful solution to the problem.

"I can see that your a courageous woman Cassandra, by the way your color shapes you" "if I have the power to do something about this mess then I will" Amber knew what she just said would no doubt raise questions, but now was not the time. Suddenly the light in the sky extended and the sound the sky made blocked out Amber's screams of pain.

"My hand!... It.. It hurts!" Cassandra looked at Amber with a hint of sadness as she saw her on her knees. Amber trembling uncontrollably to the sheer soreness left by her pains wake "can you continue? We need to hurry, time is of the essence" Amber took a deep breath and rose to her feet, just as determined as ever to see this chaos and her pain end.

Cassandra and Amber made their way to the a rift that was spuing out demons left and right while a dwarf and and elf were fighting with soldiers that made them seem so out of place. Amber took out her wooden staff she carved for herself not to long ago, and froze every demon in sight. Heads turned to see, some amazed and some stood cautious. The frozen demons melted away one by one "now! Close the rift!" the elf grabbed her hands, then lifted it towards the rift "it... Closed? But how?"

The mark on her hand withered down to silence as if it was resting from the fight "its that mark on your hand I believe it was from the breach, and I theorized that when held near a rift it'll be able to close them" the elf looked at Amber knowing that what just transpired would take some time to understand "this mark?...well at least it's good for something" Amber turned and noticed the dwarf confidently walking her way "good I don't look forward to waving and saying "hi! There!" to a demon my whole life" the dwarf spouting a jest to ease the tension.

"By the way my names Solas, I'm pleased to finally meet you" Amber confused "finally?" "he means "I kept that mark from killing you while you slept" "I'm Varric Tethras" Amber felt comfortable around Varric, but felt a little uneasy with Solas, nothing was perticulary wrong with him thought his aura screemed sneeky. All in all they were good people and she knew they would be wonderful friends in the future.
"its wonderful to meet new people even in dire times like these my name is Amber Dark" " Dark? What a strange last name you sure you aren't evil?" Varric interested in the fact her name was a word used to describe this horror film of a movie they were in.

"no no im not evil...I think" Amber quipped at Varrics comment, reassuring him. Cassandra turned to ask Amber a question she's had on her mind for a while now "I was wondering Amber, before you told me that a color shaped me and that I'm courageous what did you mean by that?" Amber took a while to answer the right way "well ever since I was little I've been able to see a persons aura through color" "you Cassandra have a red aura which is the aura you were born with, and a dark red color are the feelings that you have right now" the look on everyones face when she told them was amusing, only one of them remembers encountering a person with an ability and only elven mages had them.

After introductions the four of them traveled to the forward camp to regroup and strategize. When they arrived this snippy man so full of himself argued relentlessly against trying to close the breach "you can't believe you can stop this seeker, our men are dieing out there! You can't risk anymore lives" Roderick proclaimed as his fear took hold "so your telling me that you rather let these demons roam free" Amber bit back "we need to close this breach before it does anymore harm" Cassandra stepped in admist the exchange and proposed an answer "she's right wether or not we run away people will still die" "if we can go through the temple to the breach we should be able to get there in no time" leliana looked at the mountain pass and remembered that she recently sent agents there to investigate. She feared for their safety as much or if not more for her own. A voice rose and attention departed from the ongoing argument Cassandra and Roderick were having "if I might add we could go through the mountain, it's not the quickest but it is the safest" Cassandra retorted "we lost an entire squad on that path its to dangerous
"well we can't just stand here and do nothing, we should se if there are any scouts up there that are still alive"

Everyone agreed to take the mountain path a choice decided by the one who held everyones hope in her hands. Amber could feel the weight of the responsibilities that fell into her lap vicariously.
It took a while to walk the rocky slopes and balance carefully so the uneven rocks wouldn't cause Amber to stumble. Demon after demon, fighting then walking, years of wandering helped her cope. It seems she made the right decision since there were scouts just ahead holding their own. The scouts were thankful for the timely rescue and surprisingly Cassandra was so upfront to the scouts about not wanting to come through the mountain.

“thank you my lady we would've died if you hadn't come along” the scout leader greatfull for her life, turned to her troops and led them to safety. The breach now not to far away, the sound from the breach echoed louder and louder as they returned to where it began. A voice cried throughout the temple as  they etched closer to the giant rift.

“in order to close the breach we have to open the rift connected to it then close it, but opening the rift would likely attract demons I suggest you ready yourselfs” Solas lead Amber to the rift, unsheathing her staff and opened up the rift. A burst of lightning shot from the rift and a giant demon appeared, Amber could see that horrendous aura oozing all over the monster. Cassandra rose her sword with a face full of adrenaline “fight! Let's end this now!” scouts and templars roared, arrows piercing the wind, magic unleashed. Amber lit fire in both hands and set the monster in what seemed like a hellblaze. Down and grounded Cassandra sank her blade deep in the monsters skull, falling then withering away the demon was no more and silence came “now close the rift!” Amber lifted her hand and the rift shut causing a wave to echo across haven. Amber was out cold from the shock “I must confess, she's a brave girl” “looks like she'll need sometime to rest, take her back to haven and put her in a cabin this time she is no longer the enemy here” the scouts nodded and walked swiftly to pick up Amber. Leliana and Cassandra stood together looking up at the sky “Cassandra the breach is still in the sky what will we do?” “I don't know, but at least we have a key and a powerful one at that” leliana slightly amused at her metaphor “true, but we can't just use her like one” “I... I didn't mean it like that!” “yes yes I know, let's just see where this takes us”
