I sat heavily in my desk, staring at the piece of paper in front of me. I had gotten an A-. My best grade I had gotten in a while.
Abby was presenting right now, but I found it next to impossible to tune into what was being said.
My thoughts were drawn to how nervous I was for tonight. I mean, meeting Andy Biersack? Jesus, I feel like my heart wants to rip out of my chest and run, it was beating so hard.
Abby plops down into her seat, smiling wide. "Guess what I got, Lee."
"Hmm.... Well, considering that you're so much better than me, I would say an A or an A+."
She scoffs. "I wish! I got a B."
I nod. "That's still really good!" Just then, the bell rang. It was a half day, so Abby and I could leave to get ready for our exciting night out on the town.
We walk out of the school to my Subaru, making small talk about anything. On the drive to her house, I hummed along to Broken Pieces and Beautiful Pain, while Abby just babbled on.
I pulled into the driveway of her house. It was a two story white house with a very green lawn and two oak trees out front. I shut off the engine and lean my head back.
"C'mon, Lee! I got your outfit all picked out, I wanna see how it looks! " Abby squeals.
My eyebrow raises. "What's wrong with what I'm wearing now? "
"Well, it's just a bit.... Plain.... " she says, looking at me from head to toe.
"Plain? What if I like plain? " I shoot back, unbuckling and climbing out.
Abby does the same, shutting her door and looking at me. "Suit yourself." She says, sweeping her long hair over one shoulder.
I nod and shut my door, following my friend up the front steps of her house, my thoughts focused on what will happen tonight.
*timeskip cause I'm too lazy to write them getting ready*
I look at Abby out of the corner of my eye as we walk up to the venue and flash our VIP passes to the security guard.
Screaming started up behind us as we were prepared to walk through the doors. I turn to see what the source of the screaming was.
A tall man with spiked black hair was walking towards where Abby and I were standing, closely followed by a male dressed in a velvet dress jacket with a scarf tied around his neck, and a man dressed in black skinny jeans, a striped shirt, and long brown hair covered by a hat.
I look at Abby, who's grinning widely. "Watch out, that's Palaye Royale, and Remington Leith has his eyes on you... " she giggles, pointing to the spikey haired man.
I follow her line of sight and lock eyes with Remington. He nods and walks past us, heading into the venue.
I follow as Abby drags me in after them. My heart was pounding and my hands were shaking uncontrollably.
No. Way.
