Percy pov

I was going to propose to Annabeth and I had been gone 4 months doing the labors of Hercules so I could prove myself worthy of marrying her. When I stepped through the camp borders I went straight to the Athena cabin ignoring the angry and disapproving glares I got from all of the campers. I stopped at the door and knocked Annabeth's half brother Malcolm answered the door with a fierce glare, but his gaze softened when I asked where Annabeth was. Malcolm said "Percy I'm really sorry, but she's at the beach". Malcom closed the door and I turned away confused and headed down to the beach. I wondered what Malcom meant as I walked to the shore. When I reached the beach I turned and looked around for Annabeth. As I looked around I saw somthing by the rocks. I walked closer to see what it was and then I saw my Wise Girl sitting on Jason's lap, and kissing him passionately. I cleared my throat and coughed to get their attention. Annabeth turned around looking annoyed, at least until she saw who had interrupted her fun. "Pp-percy" she stammered "Wait, I can explain". A dry disbelieving chuckle escaped my lips, and I took out the ring that was in my pocket and looking at it I said "to think I wanted to spend the rest of my life with a cheating a** like you". I turned on my heel and threw the ring as far as I could. Then I ran as fast as I could and started to pack a bag, I had to get out of the camp. As I hoisted my bag over my shoulder I felt a rush of wind behind me and knew that one of the gods had arrived.
