9 - I'll Show You

((Authors POV))

They each open their eyes, taking raspy breaths as they slowly lift themselves off the cold floor. They cast their gaze up to the strange man in the haunting lab coat, a grin on his face. "Rise and shine, my beautiful monsters!"

"S-Signe...." Jack stutters in disbelief, seeing Signe in the cell opposite her. He ran to the glass, pounding on it. "S-Signe!! A-Are you okay?"

Signe holds her head, looking over at Jack with a small smile. "Y-Yeah...I think...A-Are you okay Sean?"

"Oh, he's better than okay." The doctor cackled. "In vact, you all are."

"W-What did you do to us...?" Felix asked, his hand to his bare chest.

The doctor grins widely, almost Cheshire Cat like. "I'll show you. Starting with you, Felix." He presses a button outside Felix's cell, allowing that strong moonlight to shine through. As it touched Felix's shin, he gasped out, his whole body beginning to shake and eyes glowing a bright yellow colour. Suddenly, a scream crawled up his throat, his bones beginning to snap underneath his skin. Marzia watched in horror as hair began to grow around Felix's body, his snout, nails and teeth extending out. In one swift movement, Felix was gone, a large, light blonde wolf standing there, letting out a long echoing howl.

"F-Felix...!!!!" Marzia screamed in a tear filled whisper. Felix's ears twitched and he looked over at Mazia through the glass. He booped his nose curiously on the glass, looking at her with his sky blue eyes.

"Look at him. A powerful canine." The doctor peered into Felix's cell as he walked past "A Werewolf." He slowly walked over to Marzia with a smirk. "And as for you my dear, you are something much more...magical."

He pressed the button on Marzia's cell, a bolt of electricity stroking her. Her eyes glowed a bright green colour and she cried out from the pain, suddenly shooting long vines out of her, climbing up the walls and sprouting beautiful purple flowers that glowed slightly. She stood motionless, shock spreading throughout her body.

"A beautiful maiden, capable of destruction." The doctor leaned against the glass, staring at Marzia's terrified face. "A Witch."

The doctor then turned his attention to the cell beside her. "Ah, Miss Hansen."

Signe scurried back, terrified of the figure. "W-What are you going to do to me...?"

"Oh my dear, I'm just going to show you and Sean just how beautiful you have become." He presses the button on Signe's cell. Sprinklers on the roof begin to rain down tiny droplets of water. As they came into contact with Signe's skin, her eyes glowed a beautiful bright blue colour which spread sown her legs. Her legs fused together, causing her to lay on her stomach. A beautiful blue tail had grown in the place of her legs, her fins at the end brushing against the glass. She had grown a set of glowing blue gills on the sides of her neck, and webs between her fingers.

"S-Signe...." Jack stared in disbelief at what he was seeing.

"J-Jack...I-I'm a-"

"The most elegant sea creature, capable of extraordinary things." The doctor smiled, biting his bottom lip at the sight of Signe. "A Mermaid." He glared back at Jack, Amy and Mark, chuckling under his breath. "Now...let's see vat zhe rest of you have become..."
