Chapter 10

~Akari POV~

"Hello?" I say into the phone as I pick my nails, waiting for my match to happen. Long story short, there are prelimenary exams before the third and final exam. At the moment the match is Kiba vs Naruto.

"Akari. Hurry up. Theres an urgent mission. It cant wait and it was not planned for." I hear pains voice say through the phone

"Wah....? BRO IM STILL IN THE PRELIMS!!" I shout and Raiden looks at me weirdly. I cover the phone with my hand and look back at him. "Da fuq you lookin at Blondie?" I hiss and he holds up his hands in defense and looks away.

"Well then during the final exam sneak away or something I dont care" he growls through the phone.

"Fine you as-" I stop myself there and hang up. Nope. Not pissing off leader-sama.

~Third Person~

Akari sighed. She was sooo tired of doing all this work. She just wanted her turn to come up to be honest. Having watched most of the matches go on, it was boring. She was bored. And with that, her name was called.

"Akari vs Leon!"

She let the faintest smirk appear on her lips as she hopped over the railing and landed on the ground, waiting for her opponent to come out.

Bright purple hair was the first thing Akari laid eyes on. Next was a decently built body wearing..robes? She assumed. He didnt seem so deadly but she didnt want to take him lightly. Who knows what he is really capable of. Akari scanned Leon and the area around him.

"Begin!"

Akari saw Leon about to make a dash at her, and vanished. Only to reappear behind Leon and swipe at him with her claws. Sharper than knives. Unfortunately she missed, Leon having enough time to dodge and jump back but Akari was quick. She dashed right on up to him and once again, slashed repeatedly at him. Lean took out a kunai and blocked each hit, making Akari step back and vanish once more. She liked to get things done quick and quiet. Though that isn't always the case. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, relaxing enough to close off her chakra. It would be impissible for him to know where she was now.

She dashed behind him and ran at him, only letting her chakra go when she was a foot away. She focused it all into her claws and they increased in size. In one swift swipe, Leon's chest was carved up and he was forced backwards. She didnt cut too deep since she wasnt allowed to kill anyone. But since he was in pretty bad shape, they decided to end it there. Akari won. But now she had to go. Pain-sama needed her.

She hopped up the railing and rubbed her wrist. "My wrist hurts. Ill be back" and she hopped away and out of the prelims. She concealed her chakra and made sure nobody saw her. She left the Village to find out what Pain-sama wanted.

((Shitty chapter ik but i legit forgot this book existed.. I also still wanna pair Akari with someone but dunno who...im lowkey hoping for Itachi, Deidara, or Sasori...or even Tobi for when future battles come. But eh. No idea. I promise im gonna make the next one not shitty but like ughhh i just got to shippuden so i forgot like 95% of what happens oops.
