RELIEVED
[Michelle Holland's POV- ]
"I'm so sorry." It was Brandon who hands me a towell and I take it after giving him a death glare. I snatch it from his hands then wipe my face away. He pushes his glasses up the bridge of his nose.
"You see, you were just standing at the wrong place at the wrong time. It could happen to Simon, but it happened...to...you." Nick tries cheering me up, recognizing him immediately, but as soon as he comes to realization he shuts up.
"Do you want something to drink? Is there something we can do?" The blonde dreaded Zion pushes Nick away and kneels down in front of me.
"Where is the bathroom?" I ask, hard enough for only him to hear.
"I can take you there, if you don't mind." He tells me and I nod slowly. He sticks his hand out in front of me, and after a quick hesitation I take his hand. He pulls me up from the chair and I follow him outside the room.
After he shuts the door behind us he let's go of my hand and walks slightly in front of me. "We're really sorry." He apologizes for himself and his friend and I roll my eyes. "We were suppose to prank our friend Noah but instead the pancake batter fell down on you." He explains, but I manage to not have any eye contact with him.
We take a left and I could already see the sign of a woman stick figure on a door. As we walk closer towards it, Zion shifts closer to me. "Uhm, do you want me to wait for you?" He asks me as we arrive at the door.
"Yeah," I nod slowly then turn around. I enter the girls bathroom and look straight into the mirror to see a horror in own eyes. The pancake batter completely took over my hair and ruined my make-up.
I took off my windbreaker and place it right next to the sink only to see that the batter ruined it as well. "Dang it!" I scream.
I grab a few paper towel and dab it on my face and hair then I tried to wash my hair in the sink to get the pancake batter out of it.
My make-up has now smudged all over the place and I groan loudly again. I felt so fleeky today, though.
As I wipe away all the make-up from my face, there's a knock on the door. "Hey, uhm, is everything alright?" Zion asks from behind it and I clear my throat.
"Why is this batter so sticky?" I ask after throwing yet another piece of crumbled up paper towell away.
"We added cheap glue in it." He replies and my eyes widens.
"You guys added WHAT?" I scream.
"L-let me help you." With that Zion walks in sees me standing in front of the mirror.
"Zion, get out of here! This is the girls bathroom!" I yell and he shakes his head.
"There are no other girls in here." He says then walks to my windbreaker. "And that's a big batter spot." He says.
He then grabs a lot of paper towel and gently dab on it. As I awkwardly stand there next to him, finger combing my tangled and sticky hair, an awkward silence waves over us.
"So, you're our songwriter am I correct?" He says out of a sudden and I nod. We made eyecontact through the mirror and he gently smiles at me. "That's so cool." He chuckles.
"Why is it cool?" I ask him and let go of my hair. I lean against the sink and look at how he cleans up my windbreaker.
"We've been searching for a songwriter for like the longest time and every songwriter we've had didn't really got our attention when they started writing the lyrics." Zion explains and tilts his head to the side. He then brushes off the little crumbs of paper towel away from my windbreaker and holds it up in the light.
