irresistable

I have arrived in England. I step out into the blinding sunlight, and with as much dignity as possible, I gather my dress and walk towards the castle. Guards are all around, and a taller lady leads me.
"Hurry Anne!"
She says in a sharp voice.
"Maybe if I had not been in a horrendous carriage, I would have been quite faster, Ms. Redinold."
She turns around quickly, and in a disciplinary voice says,
"Lady Anne, you must know your place. You are to meet the Queen of England in a short matter of time, surely you have learned your lesson in France?"
I nod, and we continue on our way.
"I hear the Queen is quite plump, a far cry from her youthful appearance."
I say smirking.
"Anne Boleyn! It is treason to negatively speak of the Queen."
I giggle, knowing I have gotten to Ms. Redinold, and quite possibly a Queen I do not wish to serve.

I bow before the King and Queen, and Katherine of Aragon gestures for me to rise. I rise, looking at the Queen and King. There is nothing special about the pairing, yet Henry looks at me more than I'd like.
"Welcome Lady Anne." She says in a kind, Spanish accent.
I smile, just as I was trained.
"I am filled with the most pleasure to serve you, my Queen." I say, through gritted teeth.
She buys it, and I am released to spend the next few hours learning this and that. Eventually, I am helping the Queen dress, when a person comes to tell me,
"Lady Anne, your family is here to see you."
I feel like crying with joy, but I remain seating.
"My Queen, may I be excused, to visit my family?"
"You may."
I am lead out to the hallway, to the court. The soldiers announce our ranks, and leave it at that. I see my father, in his rather fine suit.
"Father!" I shout, also noticing my brother George Boleyn.
I embrace them both, and they laugh at my expense.
"My little girl how you have grown! You have your mother's enticing eyes and her thin frame."
I smile, and begin a conversation with them.
We all catch up, when my father brings up a topic quite quickly.
"Anne, you are to marry Henri Percy."
My smile fades.
"I am? Well, what is he like?"
My father chuckles.
"He is a fine man, you shall like him, I promise."
I spent the rest of the evening, chatting with my beloved family. It's nighttime, George and I end up at a balcony, our legs close to our chests.
"George." I say, in my not so intimating manner
"Yes, my sister?" He says.
"What I saw at the French court, I wish upon no one to see such a horrific sight." I say, burying my head in my hands. George draws closer, comforting me.
I never had a sister, so I confided in George for everything. He'd always listen intently, and that made some people scrunch their noses in disgust if they knew we were siblings. But I did not have a care in the world, George was my only brother, and my closest confident.
Our cool night conversation came to an end, as Ms. Redinold found me and scolded me.
"Lady Anne, you are to accompany the Queen always. Do you think just because your beloved family is here, you are to ignore your purpose in this world in the first place?"
I pushed away from her.
"I know my place, Margaret." I emphasize her name, and promptly walk off to find the Queen.
I get to her chambers just in time, and help undress her. I am slipping off her shoes when she stops me,
"Where were you?"
I look at her.
"Visiting my father and brother, your majesty."
She nods, and a blank look is replaced as she looks to the fireplace. She breathes in deeply.
"My husband has not visited me, and oh how I long for him. I pray to the lord that we may be blessed with another child soon."
I continue taking off her complicated shoes.
"My sons were taken from me when they were barely a few months old." She says, hiccuping.
I can not stand to listen to her, but I stay there helping her.
Katherine of Aragon is not ugly, but she is quite plump as they say she is. She is a lonely, old Queen who's only friends are her ladies. We tuck her in, and she thanks us. The ladies here are more stuck up, and none talk to me as we exit the room. I feel lonely as ever, tucking myself into bed that night. I am awoken, to be informed that my fiancé Henri Percy is here to finally visit me. I dress in my outfit that was picked by the Queen for all the ladies to wear, and I am led to find Henry Percy.

Authors Notes

Lol! I just realized that I misspelt Henry Percy's name.
