And oldaunt waiting on the bus stand for the city bus to come.......

When thecity bus arrives, a faint smile is seen on her face. After boarding the bus,somehow she looks satisfied and she tries to remember her past.................................

26 may,1998

20th was the most special day for Anjali as atlast she was going to get married. She remembers that she always used to obeyher parents and she was the only child of them.so obviously her parents hadmost of the attention to her.

She was insecure at first leaving her home where she hadspent most of the time playing and chatting with her friends. All her time hadbeen in her home. But now she had to leave her home and stay at someone else'shome.

It had been hard at first but then she got used to it.all creditgoes her mother in law .unlike others she was generous and kind, to whom u canshare your secrets (and besides being mother in law, treat as a friend) .mostof the time her husband Jay, used to be out for he had a job.

Jay

Jay's parents knew that Jay was unusual. He was quick atlearning and a good leader. He was admired by all his friends for his kindnature.no doubt he had foes but that never really disturbed him much forachieving success at his studies. He was known to outwit his foes by a mile.

And, surely his parents knew that they need to find a bettercompetition for his kryptonic child.

When Jay graduated, he was suggested by his friends to tryJEE exam. But the parents were reluctant to let the others influence him.it washis wish that made him an army officer. The first year at NDA was definitelytough but slowly he got used to it. His parents never intervened in hisdecisions as they knew that he can't live without living his life to thefullest and using his whole power.

So it was normal for Anjali not to see him for months.However every Monday she used to get the priceless mails by Jay. She was neverannoyed by his such absence as she knew that he has a bigger duty to do ratherthat looking for wife and his parents.

8 Feb 1999

It was cold outside, the spring has not yet arrived and stillthe birds were busy chirruping. The morning came with a good news. Jay would becoming in any hour now. She had been awake before the morning voice of peacockand she was going to meet Jay after 35 days of his absence.

Jay came at 8 am with two good news .the news was that he ispromoted and the he has been asked to serve in the war.

Obviously, howsoever sad his parents were they agreed andallowed him to go there. Now all he had to do was to ask permission from hiswife.

The day went smoothly, with guests coming to see Jay againafter a long time. He was obviously the favorite one of them.

It was 9 pm when he final got relieve from his relatives and friends.

Stretching his body, he was thinking how to tell Anjali whenAnjali came from behind and covered his eyes. She asked "guess who", to whichhe turned around in a swish and pushed her on the bed, mumbling "who else canit be dear!!"

They talked to around 2 hrs. holding each other's hand andabsorbing all the moments they can spent together. She was standing watchingthe moon from her window when Jay came from behind and mumbled something in herears, holding her from behind, and joined her.at last, Jay turned around herand wiping her hair from her face, he told that he has to go to Jammu and Kashmirto participate in war.it was "the call of duty!" .
