I drag my giant and definitely overpacked suitcase into the entrance of the hotel and admire all of the beautiful decor. Everything just seems so perfect from the fringed curtains on all of the windows to the tropical flowers placed at every corner and on every desk. I have been waiting for this moment for too long and now it is finally here; I'm in Florida! And on a side note, it is finally summer! The school year has come to an end after what felt like ages and it is time to get tan, swim, and meet some cute boys at pool parties. Now, that is what I am most excited for.
"Courtney, honey, pick up your bag! You're causing a traffic jam!" my mom scolds me and I pick up my suitcase, but not before sighing very overdramatically.
"You know, I can carry that for you if you like. After all, that is my job," the young man at the door laughs. He is probably around 17, my age, and is honestly very cute. His hair is sort of messy, but attractive, and it is a dark brown color. He has tan skin and chocolate brown eyes that are almost as dark as his hair. I just got dumped by my ex-boyfriend Scott right after school ended, and a cute guy will be a great distraction from all of this drama.
"Thank you very much, what is your name?" I ask him, eager to start a conversation.
"Anything for such a pretty young lady like you," he compliments me and I feel my cheeks flush. He also notices and sweetly laughs at my embarrassment, "Oh, and my name is Matthew, but you can call me Matt. I'm the 'bellhop', or at least one of them, for the Ritz Carlton. And how about you?"
"I'm Courtney. But I go by Court, I guess. Y-you can call me Court, I mean if you..um..want to." He smiles and picks up my bag. I turn and wave to my mom to let her know that I'm fine and she just nods back, seeming uninterested. Wow, thanks Mom.
Matt lifts up my heavy suitcase by its handle and slings it over his shoulder with ease. I can't help but stare at how strong he is; his bicep muscles are huge. And when he is carrying my bag, they become more defined. Shit he is so attractive.
"Courtney? Did you hear me?" I am broken out of my trance when he calls my name and I am immediately so embarrassed. He smiles at me and chuckles, he definitely noticed me staring at him.
"Oh um, sorry.. What did you say?"
"What's your room number?" he laughs, at me I think, and walks into the elevator, me following behind him. Crap, his back is also so muscular, I can see it even through his tight vest that he is required to wear as a uniform.
"Oh.. 6521. So I'm on the 6th floor I think?" he nods and pushes the 6. I watch everyone rush back and forth with their luggage outside the elevators.
"Is it usually this crowded here?" I curiously ask as I notice how there is barely any walking room inside the lobby because of all of the people.
"Well, sometimes we can get crowded, but usually not this crowded. Apparently some famous kid is staying here; has 7 million followers on some social media thing I heard. Such a big accomplishment. I bet he's really full of himself too, since he's got all of these girls here just for him."
"Wow, he's probably a dick. Usually those 'Social Media Famous' people are. He must be really popular though if he has got this many people to see him. Wonder why?" We both roll our eyes and the elevator doors slide open.
"This way to your room," Matt turns left and I walk behind him as he leads the way. I look around at the hallway as we walk; everything is also very decorative. The walls are a pretty green and a carpet with pictures of palm trees and the ocean covers the floor. Everything is just so appropriate and it makes me so excited for summer.
"Here it is!" Matt states as he takes my room key and slides it into the slot. The door unlocks and he opens it very dramatically, like a scene in one of those movies. I laugh at him and look into my room. I have a separate room from my mom, since she "thinks I am old enough to be by myself" but frankly, I think I just annoy the living crap out of her and she won't tell me. That's fine with me though, she annoys me too.
"Thank you so much Matt, you were such a big help!" I say as I reach in my wallet to tip him.
"Oh, no it's okay. No charge! A girl as pretty as you doesn't need to pay me at all. Although, I do have one thing that would be nice."
"What?" I ask him, somewhat nervously but also confidently.
"Can I have your phone number? Only, if you want to give it to me.. You don't have to if you dont want to," he rambles on and on, looking slightly embarrassed. I just laugh and hand him my phone.
"Sure! Put yours in my phone, I'll just text you." He blushes and types in his number on my phone before handing it back to me. I text 'Matt Collins- The Bellhop', which is what he put as his contact, and his phone responds with a beep.
"Thank you, Courtney Gray," he says as he reads my full name off of my text. He bends down and bows playfully and I laugh at him making a fool of himself.
"No, thank you. I'll see you tomorrow in the lobby!" I respond and he leaves me with my bag in the hallway. I heave my luggage into the air and I fumble with my room key, since my door re-closed while we were talking. As I turn the door handle, something bumps into my side, causing me to drop my bag on my foot.
"Shit! Crap! Oww... Crap," I yell as I pull my foot out from under what feels like my 200 pound bag.
"Fuck I am so sorry! I wasn't looking" a young male voice apologizes and he picks up my bag from the ground. "I am truly sorry I wasn't paying attention."
"Obviously," I remark as I roll my eyes mostly because that hurt really bad and I am kind of embarrassed by my reaction. I look up from the ground to make eye contact with the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. They are a light blue, the color of fucking heaven, and I just admire them for a good ten seconds until I realize that he was laughing at me staring at him. I look from his eyes down to his entire body. The person who carries those gorgeous eyes isn't too bad either.
"I am really really really sorry. Are you hurt? I can get you an ice-pack if it's bad."
"No, I'm fine I guess. It's better now."
"'Okay, good. I feel really bad, but if you're okay then everything's good!" he says and I detect a slight accent, something like North Carolina.
"Yeah..." I felt really awkward now since he is just standing here staring at me. But, I don't really mind, that gives me more time to admire how perfect this boy is.
"Well, my name is Nash, I am right down the hallway, room 6528 if you need me. Have a great night!" he smiles and hands me my bag. His smile is also perfect; his teeth are straight and white and when he grins, he has a dimple on his right cheek.
"Okay Nash, you have a good night too," I respond and he waves with a cheeky little smile before jogging down the hallway to his room. I watch him as he leaves, noticing that he is also very tall, probably about 6 foot. I sigh to myself before opening my door again and finally throwing my suitcase onto my bed. I just met two really attractive guys in less than two hours; so far this trip is going great!
I lay in my bed with all of my fuzzy Pillow Pets surrounding me, just staring at the ceiling for a good hour. I constantly find myself thinking about the perfect blue-eyed boy I just happened to bump into in the hallway. After what felt like quite a while, I start dozing off, the last thought in my mind before I went into a deep sleep being the image of his cheeky smile when he waved to me.
