NOTE- This chapter is kind of long, so I hope you enjoy it! A lot happens!

~ ~ ~

My eyes open to a brightly lit room and Pillow Pets scattered around the floor. Oh yeah, I'm in Florida! I always seem to forget where I am when I wake up in my hotel room the next morning. I literally roll off of my bed on top of the cushions on the floor and drag myself through my morning routine. When I finally decide to wear my crop-top covered in daisies with high-waisted, ripped shorts, and white toms, I then straighten my dirty-blonde hair, which reaches just above my butt. I grab my makeup bag from my suitcase and apply mascara, eyeliner, and a little bit of foundation to my face just like always. After studying myself in the mirror for god knows how long, I head outside and text my mom that I am on my way to dinner. My phone buzzes back in a few minutes:

*Okay honey, I'll be there in about half an hour, I just woke up! Don't cause any trouble down there without me. Love, Mom.*

I swear, I'm pretty sure my mom doesn't give a shit about me. When I reach the elevator I press the button for the Lobby and impatiently wait while all of the others cram themselves in. One by one, each obnoxious, pushy person squeezes into the goddamn full elevator until I am actually trapped in the corner. Sometimes I hate the entire human race, and right now is one of those times. I look around at the faces in the elevator trying to find someone I recognize, but without success. The walls started to appear like they are closing in on me, and I started mentally suffocating, or at least, I think it was in my head. The person in front of me, if you can even call it "in front", more like ontop of me, weighs at least 700 pounds and I feel heat and body odor radiating off of him and onto me. If this doesn't end soon, I will actually drown in this smell and die. After what feels like 3 years, the elevator doors finally open and all of the people spill out like a fucking avalanche or some shit. Luckily, I was in the back or else I would have gotten run over. I follow the crowd of people and make my way to the place where everyone eats. There is a lign going out the door just to get a seat in here, but since I am a "party" of one, I don't really want to sit down and eat anyways. I push people out of my way so that I can get to the buffet bar, there are literally so many people here, probably because of that famous person that Matt told me about. Matt! I should text him and ask him if he wants to meet up somewhere. I quickly send him a message and he responds back in a few seconds.

*Sure I would love to meet up with you! How about on the pool deck by the lounge chairs? I can meet you there after you eat?* I respond with:

*That sounds great! I'll be there in like 10 minutes.*

*Cool.* I grab a plate of scrambled eggs and a fork and eat it on my way out of the hotel. The sign on the wall tells me that the Water Park and Pool is to the left, so I follow it. When I get outside, I see Matt sitting on the lounge chair and when he sees me, he smiles.

"Hey! Haven't seen you in a while," he laughs at his cheesy joke and I sit next to him.

"Ha. Ha. I heard the Rapid River here was amazing! Do you want to go on it with me?" He jumps up very suddenly and nods before running off to I assume is where the rapids are, so I follow along with some trouble. He chucks a tube at my face, almost knocking me over, and then drags me into the warm water.

"Ahhh, it's so nice out. The water is so calm and peaceful," I murmur under my breath as I soak in the warm pool water.

"Peaceful? HA. The rapids are NOT peaceful! I hope you fall off of your tube!" He screams as he pulls me with him along the current.

"Y-you can fall off?" I question, trying to hide how scared his words just made me.

"Yeah! It's pretty brutal too, sometimes you can fall off, but all the people around you can't stop themselves because of the current, so they just keep running you over and over and you have to pray that you will breathe in air again in your life!" I gasp and try to calm myself with breathing exercises that aren't doing anything, why would Matt take me on something so dangerous, and honestly, water terrifies me. I probably haven't swam since I was 5 years old, when my dad died. I haven't been able to step in water even since then, because I cannot forget what happened to him, and it scares me that that can also happen to me.
