Tell Me A Lie

Chapter 9

It's been a few days since we've all been back in London together. Let me tell you, the awkward atmosphere has been really thick. My dad said he wanted to talk to me so I am currently driving over there. Matt stayed home because he's sick. I pulled into his driveway and turned the car off.. When I walked up to the door I was literally yanked inside.

" Damn take my arm while your at it." I said putting my arm back into place. I saw my dad and Karen sitting away from each other.

" Where's your sister?" He asked me.

" She went to Hawaii with Hayes and Nash." I stated and he nodded.

" Well, the engagement is off.. We thought it was a lot of pressure on you guys to adapt so quickly considering your mother's passing." My dad said..... Wait.

" I don't care because obviously you didn't even care to tell me your not my real dad." I said so seriously.. Liam gave me a weird look.

" How did you know?" He looked so shocked.

" My foster mom Miranda. " I replied... I looked around and Niall wasn't here. I mouthed to Liam

' Where's Niall?'

' Went back to Ireland yesterday' he responded and I nodded. So I just awkwardly sat there while everybody was just talking about nothing..

From Matt- ' Hey, when are you coming back?'

To Matt- ' I'm just about to leave.. Do you mind going with me back to my house?'

From Matt- ' Not at all babe :)' I smiled and texted him an OK back.

" Um... See you later guys. Liam, you and me are going to have a discussion tomorrow... Is that ok?" He nodded and I left... 7 minutes later I was unlocking the door the house...

" Matt?" I called out..

" Hold on a second.. Im currently taking a shit!" he yelled and I just laughed. It's 11 in the morning and im still in sweats and a tank top. After 5 minutes I hear the toilet flushing.. Guys these days.. I was sitting on the couch on my phone while he was walking downstairs.

" Ready?" I giggled and he nodded... I walked in front of him and he pinched my butt... -_-

" Really?" I said and he laughed.

" Yeah! It was mocking me." Is all he said as we walked down the side walk. He grabbed my hand and we just talked about our future lifes.

" Im naming my first kid Primrose Ella-Marie Espinosa." I added to the conversation.

" Espinosa? I like that." He smiled.

" Isnt that the little girl off the Hunger Games?" He asked,

" Yeah! I find that a very beautiful name!" I defended..

" What if we had a boy?" He asked.

" I like the name Malachi Jordan. Are we planning on being together forever?" I asked.

" Yes.. Did you not look at the ring I gave you?" He furrowed his eyebrows.

" Yeah it says Property of Matt Espinosa..." I added the dot dot dot.

" Look at the back of it." I let go of his hand to look at it. "... Forever?"

" Yup!" He said and we walked up to my old house's front door which was locked but the key is in the mailbox. Typical mom. I unlocked the door and the house is so silent. Usually mom has the television going 24/7.... I started to cry and Matt noticed... I walked to the kitchen and found a note.. From mom it read

Dear Lauren and Lily,

Lauren, if your reading this then im probably already dead. I wanted to explain everything to you. Nathan Yearning isn't your real father. Your real father died before you were born. Miranda should have explained that to you. When you turn 18, I want you to be Lily's legal guardian. Please don't leave her abandoned while you go off to college or whatever. Since I wont be here for your 18th birthday, i'm giving you the house and the car until you can, you know get on your feet.. I left you 3 months worth of rent, bills and groceries.. I trust you with all my heart. I love you so much! Please take care of Lily for me! Im watching over both of you and i'll always know when you make good and bad decisions..

Lily, you know about your dad. Miranda will be your guardian until Lauren turns 18, but like I told Lauren, Miranda should have explained all of this to you guys.. I wanted to go to your 8th grade graduation SO BAD but cancer didn't want me too.. I'll be watching. I hope you and Hayes grow up to get married and have my grandchildren!! Too bad I wont meet them right? Lillian your a beautiful girl and i'll miss you so much! Please spend A LOT of time with Lauren and Matt... By the way, I know about Matt. He's your foster brother. But yeah... I Love You So Much!!

Girl's when you guys get the house, when Lauren turns 18, I left a lot of these notes hidden everywhere. There just life tips and reminders.. Every time you find one, it gives you clues on when and how to find it. The next note is in the fried taped to the orange juice.. I don't want you guys looking for them until Lauren gets the house.. Love you girls so much!! Oh... 1 more thing I told Miranda not to tell you.. Lauren, you have a twin brother. His name is Landon. If you want to find him look at the note that was next to this one. He knows about you, I told him what was going on and he's familiar with everything.. He lives with his adoption mom, Olivia. Again I Love You Guys!! I'll be watching over all of you!!!

Girls,

I see you read my first note.. Lauren, this note is more for you. Landon lives in London. Right around the corner actually. Go left from our driveway walk down to the corner and turn left.. His house is the 5th house on the left. His mom knows that you'll be looking for him.. You guys look EXACTLY alike so you'll know when you find him. I want you to get close to him so you can have a brother you can look up to... But your like 20 minutes older than him so... Your technically older. Love you!

By now I was in hysterics. I put that note in my purse and embraced Matt into a hug crying into his chest. im pretty sure his shirt is soaked by now.. He patted my back and just comforted me. After 5 minutes I calmed down and looked up at him.. At the guy that cares about me most. The one who gave me a promise ring 2 weeks into the relationship. The one I gave up my commitment to. ( <- virginity ) The guy I want to be with for the rest of my life. Yeah he's my foster brother, but that doesn't matter.

" Do you want to meet your brother?" He asked me. He knew?

" You knew?" I asked.

" Yeah. I was with my mom when your mom explained everything." He said.

" Yes!" I said wiping my last tear away.

" Sorry for getting your shirt wet." I chuckled.

" It's ok.. It was worth your tears." He smiled down at me and grabbed my hand. I stood on my tippy toes and kissed him. After we broke apart, we walked outside, locking the door and heading to Landon's house. We got there in probably 5 minutes. We walked up to his door and I took a breath. I knocked on the door and saw a teenage boy standing there..

" Lauren?"
