JUSTIN'S POV

"Shawty, wake up," I whispered in Jen's ear.

"Already? Come on Justin. Give me five more minutes," she whined, still half asleep.

"We don't have five minutes. We have to leave in an hour so I can get you home because then I have a concert later tonight."

"Oh. Ok." Then she got up and got ready. We left an hour later.

"Bye Jen," I said as I dropped her off at her house.

"Bye Justin. When's the next time I'll see you?"

"I might stop over next weekend if I'm in town. I'll text you if I am."

"I'll miss you."

"I'll miss you too, Shawty." I walked over to her and planted a kiss on her forehead. After, I looked into her eyes. That's the best thing out her, those green eyes. "I'm sorry about Selena. I was stupid. I'm-"

"You don't need to keep apologizing. All that matters is that we have each other."

"Are we friends or more than friends?" Did I say that out loud?

"Friends...for now. I want to be more than friends, but I don't know if I can trust you."

"Look at me Jen." I put my finger underneath her chin so her eyes were locked on mine and grabbed her hands. "Selena meant nothing to me. Sure she was pretty and she was famous, but you, you are so more. You've overcome so much. You're strong. You're beautiful on the inside and out. You're smart. You're funny. Jen, you're my everything, I don't know how I could ever live without you."

"Justin, I- I don't know what to say."

"You don't have to say anything. Just let it sink in and think about us for awhile?" She nodded. "I'll see you later."

"Bye," she said as I hopped in my car and she walked into her house.

Next, I drove to Paris's house. I walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell. Paris answered. "Hey Justin."

"Hey Paris," I said giving her a hug. "How have you been?"

"Good. You?"

"Pretty good. So, do you have the ring?"

"Yup. I'll just be a second."

Paris came back about about a minute later with the ring and the jewel that had fallen out. "Thank you. Well, I have to run. I have to get this fixed and then I have a concert. Good seeing you."

"You too, Justin." Then I left and went to a nearby jewelry store.

"Do you think you could fix this?" I asked the girl, who looked about 18 with brown hair and brown eyes, who working at the counter while showing her the broken promise ring.

"Yes. It shouldn't be too long. About 45 minutes to an hour." I checked my phone. I had time.

"Ok. Is it alright if I just stick around here?"

"Yes. That's totally fine, Mr. Bieber." Crap. She recognized me.

"Call me Justin."

"Ok Justin."

45 minutes later, another girl, who looked around 25, walked out and handed me the ring. It looked even better than when I first bought it! They fixed and polished it so you could almost your reflection in the ring. "Would you like a box?" she asked me.

"Yes please." Then a thought hit me. "Do you have any purple boxes?"

"Actually, we do." She showed me the purple ring boxes and I decided on a dark purple on. After she put the ring in the box, I paid, walked out of the jewelry store and got into my car to head to my next concert.

When I arrived at Jen's house the next weekend, I had a surprise that I hoped would show Jen that I'm not all bad. I rang the doorbell and Jen's mom, Kate, answered the door. "Hello Justin. What brings you here?" I'd texted Jen so she knew that I was coming. She probably just didn't tell her mom because I her texted last night.

"I came to take Jen out. Is she in her room?" I asked Kate.

"Yes. I'll go get her."

A minute later, Jen came out of her room. She was wearing a pair of black shorts, a red tank top that hugs her body, and a pair of red converse. Her brown hair hadn't started growing back yet, but it should start coming back soon. She was wearing one of the purple snap backs that I had given her a about half a year ago. Let me tell you, that girl loves the color purple.

"Hey Justin," Jen said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Hi Shawty. You look beautiful." As I said that, a smile that I didn't even know was forming, came onto my face.

"So where are we going?" she asked me.

"That's for me to know and you to find out," I replied while throwing in a wink.

"I'll text you when I'm on my way home, Mom!" she yelled down the hallway.

"Alright!" her mom hollered back.

"Shall we go, beautiful?"

"Yes," she relied while blushing as I held out my hand and she took it.

We walked to my car hand in hand and I opened the door for her and she got in. I got in the driver's side, we buckled our seat belts, and I started driving to our destination.

I parked my car, a red Camaro, and got out to open Jen's door. She got out and her jaw dropped. "Justin. this place, it's amazing," she said in awe. I guess she didn't expect that we were going to a hill with a lot of flowers, overlooking a lake, where you could watch the sunset. I opened the trunk and grabbed a picnic blanket and a picnic basket and laid them out on the grass.

"I hope you like chicken salad sandwiches," I said as I opened the picnic basket and started laying the food out on the blanket.

"I love chicken salad sandwiches." Jen watched as I laid out the rest of the food. "And peaches. And Cheetos. And, are those raspberry filled chocolates?"

"Yup."

"All of my favorites." As she said that, her eyes started to sparkle.

"Only for you Shawty. Only for you." I took out some Dr. Pepper because I knew it was her favorite. We ate and I talked about my tour and she talked about what Paris, Ryan, Chaz, and her had done so far this summer.

"Alright Jen. I have a question for you."

"What is it?"

I took the purple box with Jen's promise ring inside it, out of the pocket of my khaki shorts. "Paris told me that this broke. So I went and got it fixed." I opened the box to reveal her promise ring.

"Justin, I- I don't know what to say."

"Wait. let me finish." She nodded. "You're my everything. Like I've said before, Selena meant nothing to me. The only reason I dated her was to fill a void in my life. And that void Jen, was you. If you wouldn't have made it, I don't know what I'd do. Basically what I'm trying to say is Jen, I'm sorry, will you please take me back?"

"Of course I will Justin." I slipped the ring on her finger and then she threw her arms around my neck and and I put my hands around her waist, hugging her. The best hug I've felt in months. We sat and watched the sunset, with my arm draped around her shoulder.
