****Warning Bughead Smutt in this chapter****
Jughead slipped the serpent Jacket on. It was sign of accepting his place in the south side gang.
"Juggie?" Betty called out to him from where she was hiding behind the door of the trailer. He looked at her in surprise. He had forgotten for a moment that she was waiting for him inside his father's trailer. He swallowing hard out of nervousness fearing she would change her mind now about being with him. He looked back at the South Side group clearing his throat.
"Thanks but I need to think about it" he said and then looked towards the trailer door to find Betty was no longer there. He began to panic thinking she was getting ready to leave him. " My girlfriend is waiting on me inside. I guess I will talk to you guys later" he said looking back at them they nodding in understanding.
" Well you know where to find us when you decide." The guy who gave him the jacket said waking off the others following after him. Jughead walked inside his eyes searching for Betty. She was waiting for him on the couch. He slowly walked towards her preparing himself for her rejection.
"Betty" He whispered. " I told them I had to think about it. I don't have to accept it but I want to." He said looking towards the ground not wanting to see the disappointment on her face that he knew was there. He took a deep breath " I've never fit in anywhere. I was always the outsider but in south side I felt at home there. I wasn't the boy on the wrong side of the tracks anymore I was just like everyone else." He took another breath getting enough courage to look her in the eyes. " You're the only one here in this town that matter Betts. I meant what I said I love you nothing will change that. I hope you feel the same about me but if you don't I will understand. If you still want to be with me you have to accept me. All of me. If you don't love me anymore I get it. " He said his voice cracked at the end he closed his eyes waiting for her rejection. He knew this day would come. The day she realized he was not good enough for her. The day she finally realized she could do so much better. The day she left him like his mom did and like everyone else did. He could feel his heart pounding fast. He tried to prepare himself for when she broke his heart more so then it has ever been broken before. He was pulled out of his thoughts by the feeling of her hands on his face.
" Juggie" She said softly. He opened his eyes locking his eyes with hers. "How could you think I wouldn't still love you? Love is not something you can just turn off whenever you want. I love you Jughead Jones. Nothing could change that especially not a jacket." She said smiling at him holding his face in both of her heads. He stared at her looking deep in her eyes knowing she was telling him the truth. "If this is what you want Jug then I'll accept it." He took her in his arms holding her face in his hands.
