Chapter 2

"Levi? You already back?" Farlan says looking up from his painting as Levi walks in with Isabel.
"Yes," Levi sighs.
"Auruo asked you out again, didn't he?"
Levi sighs and nods sitting on the stool next to Farlan, "he did."
"And what did you tell him this time?" Farlan asks as he paints.
"I told him to fuck off, then kicked him in the balls."
Farlan chuckles, "you always have been one to speak your mind, just like your mother...."
Levi sits there and looks at the panting his father was doing. It was the same one from this morning, the one of his mom.
"Father...can you tell me what mom was like?" Levi looks at Farlan as Isabel hops on to Levi's lap.
"I have told you about her," Farlan smiles, his eyes filled with sadness.
"No, you told me how you saw her, I want to know what she was like as my mother..."
Farlan sighs and rubs a hand through his hair setting his paint pallet down. He looks at Levi, and takes a deep breath.
"She was....reckless," Farlan smiles a little. "She would go into things headstrong, without knowing what she was doing. She was amazing like that.... But when she knew she was pregnant with you...she knew she had to be more cautious..." Farlan smiles, "she wanted me to help her with it. It was cute though...it was like telling a little kid to stop eating candy." Farlan chuckles, and looks at Levi. "You know...she wasn't much different than you when you were younger."

Levi smiles a little petting Isabel, "thank you father..."

"Your welcome, Levi."

~Time skip~

"I'll be back in a week Levi," Farlan smiles getting up on to the cart.

"Alright, I'll still be here when you get back," Levi smiles slightly hand him the bag full of food.

Farlan chuckles and nods taking the bag of food, "I know and thank you."

"Your welcome, now be safe," Levi says now handing him the reins.

"I will and I love you Levi," Farlan smiles taking the reins.

"I love you too father," Levi smiles. He waves as Farlan rides out of town and out of sight. Levi sighs and gets his bag, to go shopping. He leaves the house and goes into the market bringing Isabel with him. He goes about getting everything he needs till he runs into the last person he want to see.

"Levi!" Auruo smiles walking up too Levi.

Levi frowns in annoyance, glaring at Auruo. "Auruo. Go. Away."

"Why would I do that, mi am-" Auruo starts but is punched in the stomach by Levi.

"Don't call me that."

Gunther snorts at the sight but shuts up quickly once auruo glares at him. Then turns back to Levi. "Why not?"

"Because I hate your guts." Levi states walking away.

Auruo frowns and follows Levi, gesturing Gunther to stay behind. "But I love you Levi."

"No you don't. You just want to be with me, since you believe that you have to marry someone that is equal too your beauty." Levi says speeding up his steps.

"That's not entirely true!" Auruo says quickly, following.

"Oh it isn't? Then tell me one thing you like about me that doesn't have to with my appearance." Levi says getting up to his porch.

"Ummm...uh...I like how you....play hard to get!" Auruo smiles getting up to the porch walking forward.

Levi groans annoyed, "Auruo...I appreciate that you found something but I don't love you." Levi says backing up to his door and opening it.

"Levi you don't want to be a lonely bachelor your how life do you?" Auruo states reaching out to cupo Levi's face.

"I rather be a lonely bachelor then have to be married to you." Levi says moving behind the door and slamming it in Auruo's face, then closing it and locking it.

"You fucking shit! I'm going to marry you one way or another Levi!" Auruo shouts walking away and holding his nose.

Levi sighs relived and slides down the door and sits down, leaning against the door. Isabel sits on Levi's lap and purrs rubbing her head against his chin. "Thank you for understanding Isabel.....I just want to get out of here..."

"Jean I think you lead us the wrong way..." Farlan says looking around the path. Jean huff nudging Marco, Farlan's other horse. Farlan looks ahead at the sign and sighs looking at the fork in the road. He looks down both sides, deciding to go right. Both Jean and Marco look down the path fearfully as they trot. Farlan looks around and freezes up when the howl of a wolf is heard. Marco and Jean stop in their tracts as a large wolf starts walk out of the bushes. It growls and Jean and Marco stand on their back legs neighing, and dash to the side tipping the cart and throwing all the art and Farlan out of the cart.

"Marco! Jean!" Farlan shouts as they dash off having broken out of their harness, leaving the cart. Farlan turns and looks. The wolf had Farlan surrounded with the rest of his pack. He panics and starts to climb the rock behind him. He jumps to the ledge next to the rock and runs. He hears the wolfs running after him with snarls. He rubs faster as he comes in to a garden. He stops when it suddenly gets quiet.

He turns and sees the wolves dashing off, "ha! I knew you would run!" He laughs but freezes as he hears a deep growls behind him. He slowly turns and silently freaks out as he is met by two glowing turquoise eyes.
