I woke up from my slumber with a yawn. Rolling over in bed, I sleepily checked the clock on my bedside table. 10:30. "Yikes!" I exclaimed. "I'm gonna be late for Katie!" Katie is a girl I met on a case. She works with Grimbles and is a pretty good agent and awesome friend. I slipped into my non work clothes - as it is summer, a pair of light blue ripped shorts and a tank top- and as always clipped my rapier onto a belt. Then I ran to the park to meet Katie.
"Hey Lu!" Katie cried as she saw me approaching.
"Hia Katie" I said swinging myself onto the wall she was sat on." What d'ya plan on doing?"
"Ah ya know, since its our day off, let's just wander around. Chill out. You OK with that?"
"Yep" I said, jumping off the wall. "Anything for you mate"
"Aww icle sweetie" she taunted looking pointedly down on me.
"Hey! I will grow, I swear!" I said indignantly, but she just laughed it off.
"Sure....." She giggled, putting an arm round my shoulders. "Come on, race ya to the rhododendron bush!"
"No fair!" I yelled as she sped off. I ran after her, with my eyes closed with effort so I didn't see her stop. I crashed into her and opened my eyes "sor- oh my god!" Katie had fallen onto the floor and had the tip of a rapier pointed to her chest.
