Hailey slid off the seat of the golf cart, thanking the crew worker for driving her to her trailer since her arm was hurting - not that she dared to admit.

As she sat down on her couch, the young star hissed in pain as the slight movement caused a wave of pain to rush up from her wrist to her elbow - where only a month prior her bone had broken through the skin during a stunt gone wrong.

Reaching into her jacket pocket, she pulled out the small orange tube filled with her pain relievers. They were supposed to be pretty strong, she had told her doctor about how severe the pain had been and she had prescribed the young actor with it for the time being.

Just as she swallowed the pills and settled back on to the couch cushions, her door was flung open and Kat barged into her trailer.

The ginger squealed, rushing over to the raven haired girl and pulling her smoothly and gently into a light hug. She didn't want to hurt her friend more than she was already hurting. Hailey sighed into her shoulder, feeling good to be back in the place she knew best.

"You're needed for our scene now, babe," Kat explained, taking the girls hand and gently pulling her up. Hailey hissed as the pressure caused the pain in her arms to flare up again.

Kat dropped her hand immediately, running a hand frantically through her orange hair.

"Shit Hails, I forgot!" She rambled, but Hailey faked a smile - which Kat could see right through - and shrugged her off.

"It's chill, the pain killers will help," she explained, taking the small orange tube back out her pocket to show Kat. Kat didn't seem convinced but accepted it, before ushering the girl out of her trailer.

Once they arrived on set, they were quickly briefed by the director on exactly what the scene was supposed to be conveying. Kat's character was upset about her lover and Hailey's was there to comfort her.

Wrapping up on the scene, Hailey let out a shakey breath from the constant thud of pain in her shoulder. Kat, noting this, turned to look at her best friend.

"Look, if you need to take that medicine, do it," she urged, worried her friend had too much pride to be seen taking painkillers. "Just don't over do it, remember, only two every four hours!"

Hailey snickered at her friend, knowing how she treated her more like a daughter sometimes than a sister. Grabbing her water bottle from the side of the set, she opened the tube and gulped down two more of the pills.

"Better?" Hailey sarcastically asked Kat, trying to hide the massive flood of relief she had almost felt straight away from taking the pills. It took her a second to focus again due to the strength of them, but she didn't let this show.

"Much," Kat replied, a sly grin falling on her lips as she noticed the more relaxed look on her friends face.

As they grabbed a sandwich from the craft table at the end of their work day, Hailey wished Kat a farewell as she headed out to her car - usually she would go back to Kat's and they would watch Netflix, but tonight was her first official date with Tyler since her accident over a month ago. They hadn't been able to find much time for each other recently.

A lot was changing in that month, and Hailey would be lying if she said it wasn't starting to concern her.
