A/N: This is a long chapter!

Straight after getting checked by security Maude goes to terminal C4. Right after that she heads to board the flight. It felt like an hours worth to get to the plane. When she boarded the flight she put her carry on underneath the seat in front of her. Then, the announcements come on from one of the flight attendants. Demonstrating one of the techniques in case the plane goes down. She didn't listen, but payed attention to the world outside the window beside her.

Moments later after the plane is up in the air she hears an announcement from the pilot. "All passengers you are now allowed to turn on your electric devices." And a muffled "thank you" too. Grabbing ahold of her carry on she pulls out her laptop. It took a second to start up but got it under control.

Getting the laptop set up to airplane mode she stretched some. She knew that before the plane would land apartments needed to be checked. Herself remembered from after reading an article online that apartments are really expensive and that she will need to find a roommate.

It takes a few hours but finally finding an apartment that doesn't house creeps. She looks at the picture of the owner coming to a conclusion that this is the right apartment. It wasn't the owner's appearance that made her feel safe. The feelings of how his characteristics is. Yawning she takes a look at the time Judy three hours and twenty six minutes left. With that she falls asleep.

Somewhere in New York.

A man named Beau Warrick opens his computer to find an email. From someone that looked at his ad online for an apartment. Roommate, he thought. Hanging his head down he let's out a breathe which he didn't realize he was holding. There was something different about this person. Every other opportunist he looked at kept something hidden.

Secrets.

The email itself looked promising. He wasn't sure about the account, but decided to give it a shot. Taking a breather he gets started. A little while later someone else enters the room. "What do you want Damon?" Beau didn't mean to be rude, but is on edge to find a roommate.

Beau's friend Damon takes a step back with his hands raised. "Nothing. Just wanted to check and see what you're making for dinner." Damon takes his hands to toss his hair. Beau replies in an annoyed voice. "Sorry." And with that he types in his phone number, sending the email.

He pushes the chair back and stands up quickly. Not feeling himself he explains what's going on. From not having enough money to pay the rent. Then to the solution of getting a new roommate to settle the problem. Damon listens, a sad smile playing his lips.

Deciding, Beau goes to the kitchen to get to work on dinner. It was times like this that cooking seemed to calm his nerves. His coking skills ranged from inexperienced to experienced. Right now in this moment he started making pizza waffle fries, cheese bombs, club sandwiches, pretzel bites, brownies, etc.

"Beau?" He turns around and faces Damon before continuing. "Yeah." Keeping himself from fidgeting he stares at the wall behind Damon. "I'm sure this roommate won't be half bad."

"Flight C4 we are ready to land. Please put your  seats upright and we will be at JFK airport in a bit."

The pilot's voice through the speakers wakes Maude up. As if she were in a trance she checks to see if the table is up, and the computer is in the carry on bag. Both are, giving her a moment to relax. While the plane lands on the ground forcefully and fast. She holds in a breathe, slowly letting it out.

Getting off the plane she went straight to the baggage carousel. A few minutes after arriving luggage starts coming through. Looking for two big suitcases that are black tufted with pockets on the roof of them, and have a bright yellow tag on it. She claims two suitcases that look exactly like hers. Checking the tags it belongs to someone else. And someone yells out her name looking for the owner of the suitcases they are holding onto.

"Maude Sixon? We are looking for a Maude." The strangers voice starts to fade. Crowds around are loud. Keeping the stranger from looking for her. She sees a hand wave in the air following it. Getting closer and closer she yells out the owners name that once was in the air tugs her own hand.

Taking a breather she looks at the stranger. Shoulder length black hair that has an array of side-swept bangs. Light brown eyes. Thin and sort of not thin. She let's out a light cough to ease the awkward tension. "Sorry. I guessed maybe these were my bags." The stranger gives her a smile. "No problem. Having a nice stay here?" This time she gives a smile back.

Patricia, the stranger, brings her over to a table. The smile never leaves her face. Observing Maude in front of her. From her observations she picked up nervousness. Grabbing ahold of her hand she speaks up. "Guess it's my time to say sorry." And let's out a small laugh. Maude does too. It takes away the nervousness that was in her.

After the nervousness that left Maude, Patricia decides to buy her dinner. "Let me buy you dinner. That's the least I can do since you took care of the bags." Something eases up in her. Leading to a nod of the head. Both of the women gather their bags. Stacking the straps on each suitcase.

Maude took a quick look at restaurants nearby JFK Airport. Scrolling down through Asian, Italian, Thai, and more, she finds a French cafe only four blocks away. Patricia scrutinies her gaze at the phone. Wondering if there's something interesting she's looking at. Answering Patricia's question from the look she says, "There's plenty of restaurants. Didn't know what to look for. Plus, there's a French cafe not too far out."

With a swift nod Patricia agrees about the French cafe. Realizing she didn't ask where it's at, she asks away. "How far is it?" Maude traces back to how far it will take to get there, answers bluntly. "Four blocks." And there they went.

Four blocks later they reach the door to the French cafe. Maude looks up at the sign just in case. 'Abbe Lane' in calligraphy style is what it says. When she steps into the cafe it smells of fresh baguettes and lavender. The two women find a table near the wall. Setting their suitcases nearby. A waitress comes by to get their orders. Soon, they start talking about New York and what's to be waiting for them. Few laughs came from their table. By the time meals were sat in front of them they settled down.

When the check came by it was time for Patricia to be going. "It was nice seeing you Maude. I hope we meet again." Going on her way she was stopped by Maude's voice.

"Thank you." With that Patricia could hear the smile in her voice. Leaving as if she were to vanquish.
