clash of creatures

In the middle of nowhere deep in the Woods, Nicholas Fletcher sat on a tree log. He was in what you would call a trance. He was in emotional distress due to what he had just found out. After he learnt the truth, he had been thinking of the next step to take,how to.......
'Nick!' The sound of his name made him come back to reality. He turned back to see his brother   Jason walking towards him.
'What is it?'nick responded.
'What're thinking bout?'
'What do you care?' There was a brief pause,both just starred at each other for a while.
'Look man,I don't know what's been going on with you these last few months. I'm your brother and I wish you could talk to me' Jason waited for his brother to say something.....anything.
'Pack your bags. We leave in three days'. And with that nick walked out leaving his brother alone,wondering if he had just heard right. For a moment, Jason just sat there,watching the disappearing figure of his brother, his only family. Well there was his uncle Ben but he mysteriously disappeared 3 months ago and he was never really there for either nick or Jason. Nick was the father in his life even though he was only 2years older than him......
'What do you mean we're leaving?'Jason questioned nick once he got back to the house. It was an old mansion right in the middle of the Woods. It was a miracle how they even got electricity. The house was huge and was furnished and decorated  in a very old fashioned way. Nick was in his room,packing his things. He looked tense,at least to Jason.
'Exactly what you heard!' Nick yelled at Jason. He hadn't yelled at his brother in years but things had changed since they were kids. If only Jason knew.....
'Don't yell at me man. you've been acting very weird lately. You hardly talk or eat. You're always angry. And now you want us to leave the only home we've ever known. Look if.....
'Listen to me you brat.....' Nick snapped, interrupting his brother.
'I don't have time for your little pep talk. Do as I say and fast'
Nick said with finality in his voice and continued with his packing. 
'And who the hell do you think you are to tell me what to do?let me remind you that you are only 2 years older than me. You are not my father and will. Besides,where are we going to live and how are we going to fend for ourselves?'Jason was fed up with his brother's behavior. He loved his brother but there's only so much a person con take.
'Okay,fine....' Nick calmed down a bit,though his hands were shaking a bit.
'I'll explain everything once we get there'
'But where are we going?' There was a brief pause before nick answered.
'To lakewood........'

Lakewood high hadn't changed a bit. Even the weeds remained in their usual places. Not even the annoying bee hive had been removed. The birds were still in their usual spot on the tree. All jace wanted was a normal school year and so far so good......
'JT! There you are. I've been looking every where for you' He turned around to see who the intruder of his thoughts was. It was his best friend,Ray. They've been best friends since they were 9 when Jace and his family moved to Lakewood . They did every thing together and were partners in crime. But jace was always better at everything and preferred by every one especially the ladies.....
'Ray! My man ,it so good to see you again' The two gave each other a brotherly hug for a few seconds and then let go.
' looking good bro. Have you been working out?' Jace playfully asked his friend.
'C'mon you know I don't look half as good as you. I mean,there's no competing with that killer dimple of yours'
'Can't argue with that. C'mon,we got to get to class or we'd be late'. The duo walked to class together and took their sits once they got there.
'Good morning students, welcome back from your summer break and back to your worst nightmare and frankly mine too.....'
'Ah, Mr Debrow, ever so warm with us' jace commented making the students laugh.
'Silence!!'Mr Debrow snapped.
'Jonathan miller,this is a new school year and I recommend that you finish it without any trouble or there would be  consequences. I'm i understood?'
'Yes sir,perfectly.' Jace replied but with teasing evident in his voice.
'Moving on,there's a new student joining us. Come in Nicholas'
