--------------------
A cold, dark cell.
That's where I woke up, and that's where I've been for the past month. The cell, a small cell where I could barely move around in. Thankfully I wasn't claustrophobic or I would of gone insane long ago. A small tv was placed just out of reach outside of the cell. It was always on the news. It always repeated the same story.
"Ayano Aishi is still reported missing and is still the prime suspect for knowing about the death of Asu Rito, previously thought to have committed suicide. Her whereabouts are still unknow as authorities continue to search for her-"
I throw a pebble at the TV, hitting it on the power button and turning it off. I was tired of hearing the same things.
Nothing could of prepared me for what I was going to experience, nothing at all. All my hard work, all that time I spent trying to get him to be with me... All the blood that was shed, all for nothing. I had tried so hard, I did it all for him. If only I had been more careful, if only I could of lied better and not frozen up.
I slammed my hand into the bars that held me prisoner. I heard something crack, pain shot through my fingers and all the way to my fist. I winced and cradled my bandaged hand. Creaks from above could be heard and I knew I was in trouble. A happy tune could be heard as she got closer to the door of basement. I quickly sat up and tried my best to look as if I was doing nothing wrong. My sanity has been belittled and I can feel myself slipping away into submission. All because of her.
"Igou!" She chirped, her school uniform swaying with her movements as she carried a tray of food.
Good morning!
"G... Good morning..," I choked out.
"Igou?" She asks as she places the tray besides the old TV playing the most recent news.
Did you sleep well?
"Yes... I did," I answered. She smiled and grabbed the bowl of cereal from the tray and slid it through the bars of the cell.
"Igou!" She smiles.
Here's your breakfast! Enjoy!
I grab the bowl and begin to eat. She stares at me while I eat, something I've gotten use to due to "living" here for a whole month. She reaches a hand to touch my hair, I let her. I can't do anything about her.
"Igou," she cooed. Her eyes never leaving me, stalking me like her prey.
Beautiful as always.
I stay quiet and continue eating. She gasps as her eyes land on my bandaged hand, it was getting swollen again.
"Igou!" She shrieked.
You're hurt!
I watch her run upstairs in a hurry leaving me alone with the half empty bowl of cereal in my hands, ready to be used. I grab the spoon and smash it against the bowl, shattering it completely. The crash echoed through out the cold basement. I quickly start looking through the shards, trying to gather the thinnest ones I could find. Rapid footsteps could be heard above. I quickly tuck the shards underneath my shirt, letting the waistband of my skirt to hold them in place. She bursts through the door in a panicked hurry with an ice pack. Her eyes land on the broken bowl and she goes back up.
