"Why do you do it?" He always asked me the same question.
"Because when I do, I feel a bit of humanity leaving me, and that's all I really need." Is always my answer.
"But don't you need humanity to be human?" That's a new one.
"Not really. I mean, I guess. Yeah I guess. You do need humanity to be human, but I haven't lost all of mine just yet." Is the only other answer I offer.
