*Michael's P.O.V*

Scarlet. The name went around his mind in circles over and over. He couldn't forget her. She was his everything, but she wasn’t really his at all.

"Scarlet." He whispered her name like a prayer. He wanted to be the one who saved her. He wanted to hold her and tell her that he loved her, but he couldn't. She wouldn't let him. Scarlet had always been closed off, almost like she didn't want to be saved.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP* His alarm clock was going off. He had to get to work. Well it wasn't work, more like band practice. He had met her at a gig. It was the best gig they had ever played.

-Flashback-

"Hey guys!" Luke screamed into the microphone. You could feel the excitement in the crowd.  “We’re gonna start off with a new song of ours called ‘She Looks so Perfect’ off our ep.” The crowd went wild. The excitement made the nerves go away. This was out first time preforming a song off our ep.

I looked at the crown and noticed a girl. A beautiful girl with fiery red hair and black streaks. She took my breath away.  I stared at her throughout our entire concert; I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her. She knew all our lyrics and shouted along with the crowd.

When the last song came around instead of doing one of our songs I asked Luke if I could do a cover of a song that meant so much to me. He was a bit startled, but nodded. It was the first time I had asked to do something like this.

“Okay guys for our last song we’re gonna do something a little different. Michael here is gonna do a cover for all of us.” The crowd roars and I step forward.

“The song I’m gonna sing means a lot to me so I’m gonna jump straight into it.” I picked up an acoustic guitar and started strumming.  I had done this song so many times when I was alone it was like breathing for me.

Give me love like her, 'Cause lately I've been waking up alone.” God I wanted this beautiful creature to love me. I couldn’t stand the random hook ups any more. I kept staring at her beautiful face.

“All I want is the taste that your lips allow.” God I wanted to kiss her. Haul her on stage and kiss her.

“No, I just wanna hold ya.”  I was getting lost in the music. I couldn’t stop staring at her beautiful face. She was focused on me. Being in her gaze made me feel like I was on fire. Then my strumming started to slow and I realized that the first song was almost over. The parting glass was coming and I realized that if I didn’t tell anyone I would lose her. I didn’t even know her but I felt the loss.

Of all the money that e'er I had

I've spent it in good company

And all the harm that e'er I've done

Alas it was to none but me

And all I've done for want of wit

To memory now I can't recall

So fill to me the parting glass

Good night and joy be with you all

Of all the comrades that e'er I had

They are sorry for my going away

And all the sweethearts that e'er I had

They would wish me one more day to stay

But since it falls unto my lot

That I should rise and you should not

I'll gently rise and I'll softly call

Good night and joy be with you all

A man may drink and not be drunk

A man may fight and not be slain

A man may court a pretty girl

And perhaps be welcomed back again

But since it has so ought to be

By a time to rise and a time to fall

Come fill to me the parting glass

Good night and joy be with you all

Good night and joy be with you all” The song was over. The gig had ended. I was going to lose her.

“Goodnight everybody!” Luke said into one of the other mics.

No. It was a fleeting thought but I needed to at least speak to her. I needed to get her name.

“Front row. Red hair. Come back stage?” My mouth was working before I even knew what was going on. She looked surprised but I needed this. I had never felt this so strongly before. I needed to feel her hot breath on my lips. My neck. Anywhere. Other girls eagerly nodded but I kept staring at her. Hesitantly she nodded once and turned to someone to her side. I had only just noticed that she was here with someone. I had been so consumed in her stare I didn’t think to look at anyone else at the gig. I told one of the security guards to bring her to our backstage area. We still needed to take our instruments to their proper place.

“Mate what was that?” Calum asked me.

“I don’t know.” It’s all I could say. We walked into our little backstage room and there she was. She looked nervous.

“Hi. My names Scarlet.” She stuck out her hand for us to shake. And in that moment I knew I was gone for Scarlet.
