Definetly Bendable - Part 1
Being abnormal was...weird. I couldn't believe that it had really taken me 14 years just to figure this strange power out. I sat there in my chair on the porch, wondering how this would change my life. But before I get into that, you're probably wondering exactly what I'm talking about. Well I'll let you know that what I'm talking about is telekinisis. Amazingly unrealistic, but definetly true. My name is Hector Kidends, and I'm sitting outside of my grandma and grandpas old rickety house on a swinging chair on the porch. Whew, that was a mouthful. Just 3 days ago, I was alone in bed reading an old comic book. It was about this old super hero I used to read when I was young. As you would probably guess, he had a super power to control the movement of things with his mind. It was 10:00 PM so I decided to hit the sack. As I was lying in bed, I was thinking about this telekinisis idea in my mind, when all of a sudden this random idea popped into my head. It was just me, sitting at the table in the kitchen during lunch. In my little daydream I imagined myself lifting a frozen burrito out of the fridge and sliding it into the microwave. Then I turned on the microwave and began heating it. A pretty typical thought for me; I was somewhat hungry at that time, anyways. I had just set the microwave for 30 seconds when I thought I heard something at the three. Our microwave at our house was one of those electronic heaters that made little beeping sounds when you hit the buttons. Figuring it was nothing, but still slightly cautious, I went back to my imagination and typed in the zero. That's when I heard an actual beep. I knew that this was strange and it creeped me out for a while, but then I convinced myself it was just a coincidence. I was going to continue my daydream, but I knew it was late so I just went to sleep. It was the next morning that was evidence of my power. First thing at 7:32 in the morning I got up. My mom and dad hadn't waken up yet, so I got out of bed and went downstairs for cereal. I reached up above the microwave to a wooden cabinet and pulled out a random box for breakfast. Just as I was doing that I though, I noticed something inside the microwave. I took my hand out from the cabinet and opened up the microwave. That's when I saw it. A burrito, wrapped in tin foil, still slightly cold. I almost freaked out. My feet slipped out from underneath me and I landed on my elbows on the cold floor. I didn't hurt myself though; I just sat there and grinned like a madman. We all know that we have at least once wished that we had some sort of powers that made us...special, I guess. This was just a dream come true. Just in case, I pinched myself. I must've been a bit too excited, because I pinched myself so hard I started bleeding on the cheek. I stood up from the floor and then sat down in a regular dining room chair. I thought about what this meant for me, and how I could use it. That's when it hut me how long I mustve had this. How could I have not realized I could do this until I was 14? Huh. I guess it didn't really matter, because I managed to find out I had this power without anyone getting hurt. Wow, so I managed to figure out I had a super human ability because of a burrito? Huh. By now it was 7:48 AM and I could hear dad getting up. Hoping it would work like last night, I close my eyes and imagined very carefully the burrito lifting off the table and into the fridge. Just as I closed the fridge door, dad came down and saw me just simply sitting in a dining room chair, doing nothing. My dad knew I was a food person, so he was slighty confused that I wasn't eating. "You okay, Hector?" he said to me. "Yeah, I just woke up in a daze. I think I'll start eatin' now." That last sentence sounded a little suspicious, because I'm not the talkitive person. I was hoping he wouldn't notice anything about it, and he didn't, which was good. So, with my quick actions I was beginning to think that I really shouldn't tell anyone, but then I reconsidered and decided that I could only tell my best friend, Alexander. He was only 13 but his birthday was in a week so I figured he'd be mature enough to handle it. Even if he did tell someone, I doubt they would believe him. With powers of telekinisis, things were gonna have to change. Lies would be told and rules would be broken. Well, not exactly broken, but...bended. Because with this new power, I could bend anything. Rules could be bendable. Definetly bendable.

Now, 3 days later, it's the last day of summer, and I probably might not get much of a chance to do some tests, so I started testing on rocks and thing. I laughed to myself quietly just thinking about what I was capable of. It was crazy! Most people probably would have freaked out about this, and all I do is laugh about it. Maybe IM crazy. Ha! Wouldn't that be interesting? If it was only me that was imagining...my thoughts trailed off. Only me? What if it isn't only me? What if there's someone else... I decided to put the idea out of my head for now. It wasn't very likely someone else would have this, ability, you could call it. "Honey, come back into the house or you'll boil!" my grandma called from inside the house. She was right; it was extremely hot for late September. So I stood up and went inside. It was around 12:37 in the afternoon and lunch was finally ready. "I hope you like grilled cheese and sandwhiches. I'm not in a very big cooking mood." Grandma said as she laid 3 plates of food out, 2 piled with sandwhiches and the other stacked high with grilled cheese. "Thanks Grandma." I said politely. It was pretty boring the rest of the time, and I'd rather get on with the story so that there can be something more interesting happening. So, let's skip to 3 days later, on the 2nd day of school........
Most of the day I lingered around Alexander trying to muster up enough courage to tell him about the 'Force' I had decided to call it. Yeah, it was slightly based on Star Wars, but I was all I had come to think of right now. Finally today, I decided that I have to do it. So at lunch, I left the cafeteria and went straight to the basketball court, where I knew Alexander was. "Hey Hector, you wanna play basketball with us?" he asked me. "Well, actually, I wanted to tell you something. Privately though." I added before the other guys would want to follow Alex. "Umm...sure." He turned around to the other guys and said, "I'll be right back guys. Go ahead and start a game now." Then he turned to me and we walked off to the field, where we sat down where no one would attempt to look for us. "Now, this is really important. Please keep this an absolute secret to everybody. I want no body to know this but you and me." Alex put his extremely serious face on and knew something big was coming. So I told him the entire story, from beginning to end. And when I was done, he didn't believe me, of course. But when he said he didn't believe in it, he said it in a way that seemed as if he knew there was some sort of proof in what I was saying. "You want proof? I'll give you proof." I closed my eyes and immediately imagined us gloating just 2 inches above the ground. With my eyes still closed I heard: "Oh my god Hec. Are you doing this? Holy-HECTOR PUT ME DOWN...PLEASE!! So I did. When I opened my eyes, Alex was holding onto the metal gate next to him and staring at me dumbfounded. "Wow. Hec, please never do that again." I laughed. Then Alex stumbled and he grabbed me on the shoulder for support. In that exact second, I saw a green spark flash where Alex touched me and he flipped backwards and landed on his back, hard. I went from excited to surprised to jaw-dropping confused. Alex's body sparked and flashed a bright green light. Then it settled and Alex's eyes flickered open.

The story is getting a little fast paced lately. I know it hasn't been making much sense, because Hector hasn't been showing much emtions. In case the story line has been getting twisty, Hector most of the time has just been completely emotionless from showing Alex these powers to finding him on the ground. Pardon the pun, it's been pretty 'shocking' all the way around. Now if you'll excuse me, I think you might want to get back to your book.

That second day of school had been the weirdest. Alex had gotten up confused, and I led him to the basketball court where he just started shooting hoops as if nothing had happened. But that day, I sat and watched Alex play his game. When the score. Was tied up to 4-4, Alex snatched the ball and attempted a run for the hoop. Unfortunately, a kid come up in front of him and actually body slammed him. Alex fell back and the kid took the ball. Then, almost magically, the ball hit the ground as the kid dribbled it and instead of returning to his hand, it curved off and flew right back to Alexander. Now it was my turn to be dumbfounded. The scene I just described to you wasn't what I was truely looking at; it was Alex. More specifically, Alex's eyes. His eyes were normally a shade of dark blue. But when the ball curves off to him, I saw his eyes turn a bright shade of green, then settle to its normal color. Alex simply dribbled the ball up again, tossed it lightly, just aiming so that it bounced once on that kids head, and then the ball flew into the hoop, nothing-but-net. Then the bell rang.

5 days later and I sat down outside our classroom, when Alex came up to me. "I got something important to tell you." He said. I knew what was coming.
