(A/N) Im publishing this early because I will be in Ohio this week and wont be able to write then.
Vanessa sprung out of her bed, panting and crying. She looked around, realizing she was in her room and that everything she saw was merely a horrific nightmare. Sighing, she got out of bed and headed to the bathroom with her work outfit in hand. Still crying slightly Vanessa turned on the shower, feeling a little better as the warm water hit her body. She closed her eyes for awhile then realizing it had almost been a half hour. She quickly dried off and got dressed for work. She grabbed her keys and ran out of her apartment quite flustered. Fixing her hair and drying her face, Vanessa got into the elevator and traveled down the stories of the building. Once the doors of the elevator opened to the main level, she sprinted out the front of the building to her car and started to drive to work.
~Time Skip~
"Vanessa, you're always so early! You need to be more chill and calm down" Gale said laughing slightly. "She's right y'know" Quinn exclaimed. I may not like work, but i love working with Gale and Quinn is a pretty good boss. "Haha very funny. I always think I'm late when I'm actually quite early..." i say laughing. I stop laughing immediately as i see him come through the door. "I don't even know if i love him anymore...he's sweet! Sometimes..." as a million thoughts rush through my head about Sawyer, his lips touch mine and I push him away. "I-I'm so sorry! I'm kinda out of it today." I say nervously and see him glaring at me. He quickly smiles instead knowing he's in public."Thank god. He probably would have hurt me if we weren't here." sighing in relief, I quickly go behind the counter nervously and start making myself a coffee. Gale is staring at me with a sad look. She's the only person I've told. Sawyer acts like a sweet guy in public, I still think he's the nice guy i met a year ago, there has to be something left of the kind, caring sweet sawyer. Vanessa knows she has to break up with him, he has only become more and more abusive throughout the past two months. She finally approaches sawyer, knowing she can't live like this anymore. "Sawyer, this isn't working" she says quietly. As sawyer figures out that Vanessa is breaking up with him, he storms out of the cafe. Vanessa looks at the clock. 7:00. "I can't cry. Don't cry." but before she could finish her thought, tears were streaming down her face. "You can go to the back room, I'll take care of your shift until you feel better" Gale says. Vanessa runs to the back room, sobbing.
