High School Romance

Chapter 4 - Ray Lightfoot, a Superman.

            In class one, Kathy had  History class with her crush, Ray Lightfoot.Even though he just joined the school three month ago, he became the captain of the basketball team, a genius in music, especially the violin. And also, a smart kid in homework. So, everyone in school gave him a nickname, King Charming and superman. However, Kathy is not the only one who fancies him, the whole school of girls like him too. Many guys wanted to get close to him just to get famous, but he wasn't very socialise in school and don't have many friends. Kathy was always acting smart and asks lots of questions in front of him, too.

            In class two, Kristin had English class with her crush,Ray Lightfoot. Kristin, unlike Kathy, sits far away from him and always quiet in that one corner. The one reason Kristin does that is because she loves to watch her crushes from afar as she did not want them to hear her heart beating so fast.

            In the last period before breaktime, Christina had Health class with her crush,Ray Lightfoot, unlike both Kathy and Kristin, Christina went to Ray whenever she got the chance and always says things she doesn't do. Like:

"Hey, Ray! Looks like you have no team, would you like to join mine?"

"Oh, I love basketball! But too bad for me, my parents are worried that I might get scars."

"I had learnt basketball secretly behind my parents' back for at least 2 years, until I was eleven!"

All three girls had a crush on Ray Lightfoot, but none of them knew that and continue to think that THEY will get him.

             "RING!" The school bell rang. Kathy, Kristin, Christina, Loretta and Ashley accelerated to the cafeteria and met there. Of course, the trio, Kathy Kristin and Christina wanted to maintain their figure, so they were all on diet.

              Kathy, was skipping happily back to her class, that's where she met Ray by the lockers. She started the conversation:

              "So, how are you coping with homework? Pretty much troublesome. I mean, starting school and learning new things all over again."

               "You, you are Kathy right? One of the popular trios. Well, for me, it ain't such a big problem as I had been here before, a couple of times, too."

                But Kathy wasn't daunted, she invited him to a party,

               "You know, so you can meet everybody. Then you would have more friends!"

               "Everybody? I prefer a one-on-one conversation though, I really hate crowds!" Ray answered.

                "So, you comin'?"

                 "Nope! Thanks for your invitation though. I had a really nice conversation, good bye for now!"

                 "Good-bye... I guess."Kathy muttered to herself.
