Training :
" Hey can you train her? It's her first day "
She looked up, her perfect blonde curls framing her petite face.
" Yes ma'am! I'll get right on that. Let me just find someone to take my place. "Grocery Bags :
" Hey, I just um- brought you some bags. "
I looked down and saw my bags were filled already.
I smiled at the thought that this was an attempt to talk to me. She was so nervous.
" Thanks Corinne. " I stammered.
" I'll put them on the rack for you. " She said as she walked over to the rack.
I honestly don't know how she's going to put that on there, it's already full. I was surprised when she did it with ease. She looked up and smiled at me
" All done! "
She walked away, brushing my hand as she left.Lanes Between Us :
I looked over at her and smiled at the sight of her. She made the most simple thing look so flawless, elegant, and graceful. I was so clumsy bagging groceries but as the items rolled down the path she effortlessly put them in the bag. Her hair was in a ponytail except one little curly strand, that bounced when she put bags in the basket. Suddenly she looked up at me and our eyes locked. Shit. Had I been staring? I think I was and damn it, she caught me.Through the Dairy Door
I had been asked to run milk back to the dairy department. If we put them in the reject basket, it would sour. So I had to leave my station and quickly put it back.
It was at the top of the shelf, and damn it I was short. I climbed the rack and put it up, and as I jumped down I dropped my badge. I leaned down to pick it up, and at the same time I looked up, the guy on the other side of the dairy rack did too. Almost like it was directed in a movie that way. We locked eyes and he smiled weakly. I grinned as I stood up to dust myself off. He stocked the rest of the milk effortlessly without even looking. We never broke eye contact.
