It was nearly the end of seventh grade for Alison DiLaurentis. Of course, she was really excited, as she was one of those girls who just couldn't wait to grow up and start throwing parties and have a lot of boyfriends. Ali was already something like that. She was the queen Bee. A typical Rosewood girl. She had long, blonde locks, blue eyes that could really remind you of the ocean, a heart-shaped face and a perfect smile. What else did she need to become one of the most popular girls in Rosewood High?

Right. She needed a group. A clique. Girls that would follow her everywhere she goes and would listen to every word she says. It wasn't hard to find a few like that. Every girl in seventh grade was dying to be Ali's friend. She used to have two best friends- Naomi and Riley. They were just the typical minions. They liked to convince Alison that all her horrible acts and ideas were right, and she really liked to hear that. Nobody actually knew what happened with them, but one day the three of them just stopped talking to each other, and never re-united again. It wasn't that big of a problem for Ali, but she still needed someone to prove how cool she is.
Alison had a brother- Jason, and a transgender sister- Charlotte. She got along perfectly with them, although they did have their sibling moments sometimes. The three of them were complete copies of each other. They all had the blonde hair, blue eyes and heart-shaped face
typical for a DiLaurentis. Charlotte was almost like a twin of Ali's. People would often mix them up, and they had to explain that they were not twins (even though there was a rumour around Rosewood that Ali had a long-lost twin Courtney somewhere in South Dakota, which the DiLaurentis family declined all the time) and that they were just... very special.
Jason was a typical Rosewood boy that was about to graduate- he liked to party and to hook up with girls. He wasn't a jerk though. He wasn't rude to anyone, a lot of people actually wanted to be his friend, instead of hooking up with him. He really was an interesting boy.

Charlotte didn't appear in Ali's life until about two months before she turned 12

Charlotte didn't appear in Ali's life until about two months before she turned 12. She only knew her as CeCe Drake. But after a very long story of looking for their lost sibling that Mr DiLaurentis has been hiding, Jason and Ali managed to find out that CeCe was actually Charlotte. Or Charles. No more explanations, that story is long gone from everyone's minds.
She was a very calm girl, that of course, liked to sometimes compare herself to Ali based on her popularity and the amount of bigger boys she could hook up with.

Mrs DiLaurentis (Jessica Drake, if you would) was a typical mom. She cooked, she cleaned, and she took care of her children. She was a very forgiving woman, whenever it came to her family. Nobody except Charlotte appreciated her enough, but she didn't whine about it. She just worked, and worked... and kept a lot of secrets.

Mr DiLaurentis wasn't the closest to his family

Mr DiLaurentis wasn't the closest to his family. He was always at work, at conferences, or at some weird meetings where people shared their problems. God, he wasn't even with his family enough to have any problems.

They pretty much seemed like one big, typical family

They pretty much seemed like one big, typical family. But little did Rosewood know, that they were the most scandalous family to ever live there? So many secrets about things... about people, that nobody wanted revealed or known.  From secrets that could ruin your school reputation, to ones that could get someone killed...
They knew it all.
