Chapter 8

Luke's p.o.v

Mikey went home and so did Taylor and I was bored, I know I'll go shopping to get Taylor a birthday present

I got in my car and headed to the shopping centre, I was nearly there when a car came crashing into the front if mine I felt blood trickle down my head and everything went black.......

Taylor's p.o.v

I was sat at home with my mum and brother when I got a phone call, it was Luke's mum Helen

H:hello, taylor are you there?

T: yes Helen what's wrong why are you crying?

H: it's Luke

T: what's matter with Luke?

I was getting worried now

H: he was in a head on car crash and he's In a coma, they don't think he will make it

T:this can't be happening, I'll be right there

I put the phone down and broke into tears

"What's happened?" My mum and brother said In unison

"It's Luke, he's in a coma they don't think he's gonna make it"

"Oh honey"my mum said

"C'mere let's get you to the hospital" he picked me up and put me in the car

At the hospital

We walked over to reception

"Can I help you?" The lady asked and plastered on a fake smile

"Luke Hemmings"

"Oh yes room 47"

We walked down the hallway till we got to room 47 when we got there my mum and brother waited out side and I went in, I saw Luke's mum holding his hand crying

"Helen, it will be okay"

I walked up to her crouched down and put her head on my shoulder she let all her tears go and broke down, I did the same

"Sweetie, I'll leave you two alone"

I gave her a sympathetic smile she let go of my hand I didn't realise she was holding and walked out of the room, I guess she sat with my mum and brother as I heard them talking

"Luke, look I know you can't hear me but I love you,you may ask me how long but I'll tell you now. Remember that day when we were playing outside your house and I fell over and you laughed at me?" I let out a small laugh through my sobs "and you laughed at me but I got all moody with you because I hurt myself, then later you came round to my house and took me to your treehouse and then kissed me" I took a shaky breath and smiled remembering the moment "I asked you what you were doing and you said your mum told you when you love someone you kiss them and If they love you too they kiss you back, and we were like 5 or something but ever since then I've loved you"

I cried thinking this might be the last time I could ever talk to him. I broke down in more sobs and laid my head on his chest . "Remember the song we wrote together when we were 12" I started reciting the chorus

After that I completely broke down somehow I felt this was my fault.......
