Ch. 3, ❌Chara❌

Y/N POV
I've been getting weird feelings in my heart. Like I need to be somewhere but I push it aside as a desperate cry for attention and adventure. I've been keeping a closer eyes on the Original. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. He always appears in countless voids when asleep or awake. I was always there when he was in the strange voids. Just invisible. This time I was debating on to stay invisible or not. Chara was here. What about Cross? Where was he? I was slightly worried for the skeleton but he was no were to be found.

It was small conversation of confusion and deals until Chara had attacked him and I was instantly filled with shock, my eyes widening. "I only wanted a few minutes but now your selfish choices have given me many years to live!!" I didn't know what to do. I froze seeing as what they've done. Shaking, I swiped my staff over myself and appeared back into my home.... I left him there.... Ink will probably save him but I can't go back.

What was I supposed to do?
●"Um stop them?? You're so stupid (y/n)! Ugh!"
~"I- I couldn't!"
●"he was taking originals soul! You would've had an excuse to kill them!"
~"but they have every right!"

You had argued like this all the time with yourself. More with an evil kind've self. You and your mind had a kind've Chara and Frisk relationship, except for the taking over, they wouldn't  torment you. Your other half wasn't like that. It seems they only wanted you too feel bad, guilty and sometimes urged you to do bad things but never went berserk over it if you didn't agree. If you're wondering what they look like... they look like you but are more shadowy with strange eyes.

After a long argument in the quietness of space, My shadow and I soon backed off of the argument. We sat in silence. I was thinking of what I should do and what I could've done to prevent this.
●"you should've kept your promise..." was the last thing your shadow said before disappearing.

I decided to take a look on Original. Him and Ink were chatting until he had to go check on AU's to see if he could find Cross and Chara. This left Frisk alone asking who Ink was. I messed it all up. Frisk was tempted to resets I was genuinely scared now. Was all this hard work for nothing? "Don't" Sans said sternly. I smiled a bit, happy I had him remember all those timelines.

After a while it was decided that Sans would journey with Ink to find his soul. I was a bit uncomfortable in case something went wrong. Alas this was for the best of everything and everyone. I can't show myself, not to anyone. They would all hate me if they knew the truth of everything behind their existence. I can only hope Cross doesn't tell them but I doubt he even remembers anything we did together. I pulled my hood over my head, imaging that's what I'd probably do if I ever bumped into Cross. To hide who I am... that's a lot of work to do by someone you've know since they were created.

Ink and sans disappeared. I was about to leave myself when a sniffle came from frisk. She started tearing up and wiping her eyes. I didn't know how to deal with this. She was my sister, I had to do something.

I walked up to her and crouched to her level reaching my hand out hesitantly. I decided if I was making her happy it was okay. Frisks sobbing continued about sans being gone. "Frisk" I said kind've quickly. 'What am I doing!?' I thought to myself. She looked up at me, her eyes red from crying. "You really depend on promises huh?" She looked shock and scared, not knowing who I was which broke my heart and her gaze widened at all my probably strange clothing and staff. "So I'll make you a promise about sans!" She calmed down a bit after hearing me name sans and nodded. "Well..." ●you should stop● My shadow argued. "My Child?" Toriel's voice was heard in the distance. "HUMAN?" "Hey punk where are ya?" "F-frisk?". Soon everyone was calling for her and she looked back to where the voices echoed from.

She looked back at me impatiently as footsteps were heard close by and voices getting louder. You cupped her cheek. "Tell you what." I whispered. "I promise sans will come back and you'll all live happily ever after."She smiled at me... I haven't seen her smile in forever. I seen a shadow coming from behind Frisk and disappeared fearing I would be caught. "My child! There you are." Toriel went to crouch by Frisk. "Where ever did Sans go?" She asked. "H-he had to go somewhere, probably to Grillbys!" Frisk turned and smiled at Toriel. "HE IS ALWAYS GOING TO THAT AWFUL RESTAURANT!" Papyrus stated turning on his heel and walking back to the picnic area.

"What did I do!?" I yelled crying into the invisible floor, looking at the stars below me.
•beats me, your always doing stupid stuff...• there she goes, always making me feel like a kid!
•you are still technically a kid• she looked at your nails and you popped up at her response, reminding you that you both shared one mind.  "I just can't believe I said that! After I told myself to 'keep quiet,lay low,let it happen'." I sighed into my hands, annoyed with myself. •Cross is going to tell everyone sooner or later, might as well have someone know about you, as well as be on your side•  I give my shadow victory as I stay quiet, still not sure what to do.

•hmph, lets go• My shadow says waving her hand at Me. I jumped up picking up my staff, eager to go where Sans and Ink were. •I'm only taking you though, I'm not gonna stay and get into your mess.• I nodded and opened a portal that led to a planet that was all ocean ,but had a small piece of land where I could stand. Somewhere that humans would probably beg to get the coordinates of.

It may look empty and useless but with a swing of your staff, many portals appeared to every AU in the universe. Of course you had to swing a few times before making the portals appear since you never come here often, so you were out of practice. You weren't going to blindly search every AU that you swing open, looking for them. Here though, you just had to ask.
"..um, c-can I have the AU where Ink and Sans are please?" You we're always nervous asking for portals here. This place may not have a physical form but you could tell that even you had a very special privilege of using it. A language made for Gods and Goddess was written in light before you and the portal.
