{scout's pov}
I just have to catch one more wave...
One. More.
I start to paddle out as I see a great one forming.
But as I get closer, the great wave just never comes.
"Scout!" I hear my name being called, but I don't look for the sorce. I just keep going to the unreachable wave.
"Scout!" I hear it again.
I don't pay attention and I keep going.
"Scout!" The voice screams.

Aaaaand I'm awake with a jolt. Looking around, breathing heavily, I scowl at my best friend, Liv.
"God, you scared me." I mumble, pushing her out of the way with my body as I slink out of bed.
"Good morning, sunshine," my brother, Luther, smirks.
I roll my eyes and grin, flipping him off.
"Wow!" He laughs, sounding jokingly offended.
I smirk, yawning as I walk to the kitchen to make tea.
I feel Olivia and Luther trailing behind me close.
"So...?" Liv asks.
I turn and quirk a brow. "So...?"
"Are you excited?" Luther grins.
"For what...?" I ask, genuinely confused.
"Your surprise!" He laughs a little.
"Right." I laugh. "Very."
"That sounded sarcastic." Lucy smirks, walking in through the back porch. "I know I am excited."
I grin a little. "So when do I get to know the surprise?"
Right on cue, my sister, Cara, walks out of her room with her boyfriend Harry's Led Zepplin shirt on. "Have they arrived yet?"
I furrow my brows. "Have who arrived?"
"Me and Calum." I hear a groggy, deep, Australian accented voice behind me. My eyes widen as I spin around.
"Luke!" I say happily.
My best friend grins at me with his arms open. "Hello, darling."
I run over to him and hug him tightly. I smile and close my eyes when I feel his arms close around me.
Calum walks out from behind him. "It's great to see you too, Scout." He smirks.
I am about to pull away to go greet Calum, but Luke holds onto me. "Nope."
I pout slightly, looking up at, getting a smile back.
He looks so good, his skin lightly tanned, his lip ring pinched slightly between his teeth.
"Please..." I whine lightly.
Cara scoffs. "C'mon, get a room," causing me to blush deeply.
Calum walks over her and grins. "Well hello again, Cara."
She rolls her eyes. "Hi, Cal."
He smirks. "Still with that Britt? You know Kiwis are where it's at."
A gruff morning voice comes out behind him. "Yeah, she is."
Calum's eyes widen and I laugh, finally managing to free myself from Luke.
"I-I..." Calum stutters.
Harry smirks and nudges him out of the way, walking over to Cora and kissing her roughly.
"Get a room!" Luther grimaces and I nod, laughing.
Harry shrugs and picks a laughing Cara up, carrying her back to her room.
"Gross! Cara, c'mon!" Uncle Scotty laughs, clapping Calum on the back. "Sorry mate. They are still together."
Calum shrugs. "Hey, Scott."
He nods in response, coming over to where Luke is as I go hug Calum.
"Hi, CalPal."
He smiles. "Hey. We missed you."
"Trust me, we missed you too."

Allow me to elaborate.
Me, Luther, Liv, and Lucy met Luke and Calum in the summer when we were all 7 and 8 when Luke and Cal and Luke's family visited Punalu'u Beach for vacation. We were instantly close, as they vacationed here until Luke was 12. Then, they just stopped. This is the first time I've seen him and 5 years, and it's wonderful.

"Scout." Uncle Scotty snaps in my face, and it probably isn't the first time.
"Hmm?"
"You gonna go surf?"

Allow me to quickly elaborate again. Both of my parents are completely unaccounted for, so Uncle Scotty, my dad's younger brother, raised me, Luther, and Cara on the black sands of Punalu'u beach, Hawaii.

I nod, grinning. "Yeah, I'd love to. You have your board shorts, Lucas?"
He rolls his eyes at the nickname but nods, smiling.
I smirk and walk back into my room to change, Liv and Lucy following shortly after.
I open the door for them after I put on my bikini and hoodie.
"Oh my god, Luke is totally falling for you!" Lucy squeals.
My eyes widen and I shake my head. "No way.."
Liv grins and nods. "Way."
I smirk. "So is it like your's and Luther's relationship?"
Her eyes widen and face flushes. "N-no... I-I"
I laugh and shake my head. "C'mon, let's go.
