AN: I prefer to write in the third person, however if I ever feel it's unclear who is talking I'll put the name in parenthesis before the speaking. However, I doubt it'll ever be that confusing <3
Only a few weeks ago the whole incident with Rice Gum had happened. Gabbie was still emotional thinking about it, but the initial situation had been dealt with now it was only the press and countless drama channels that were keeping the news relevant. Sadly for the girl it being brought up so often kept the very real emotions associated with it relevant as well. Her friends had all noticed how she was still upset and had been taking turns hanging out with her so she was never just stuck at home by herself. Tonight her main group of friends were all busy with this or that. They had all made an offer for her to tag along with whatever they were doing, but Gabbie felt she was ready to be at home alone.
That was until she got a random text from Colleen. Gabbie picked up her phone swiping to unlock. Already she had a small smile on her face as she waited for her kinda crappy phone to pull up her messaging app. Her and Colleen didn't hang out all too often being that they were both incredibly busy people, but she really treasured the moments that they did. Colleen was such a genuinely kind and amazing person and anytime spent with her was just so relaxing.
C: Hey Gabs! Do you want to come over and film a collab?
G: Isnt it a little late for filming 😂 Lol but you know it!
G: Should I come over now?
C: Yeah I guess it is ... 😅
C: Awesome! Yeah come over now 😄 You can stay for dinner too if you want 💜
G: Sounds good 😉 I'll be there soon 💜
Gabbie set her phone down practically skipping off to her room to pick out an outfit. This would be the first time she was seeing Colleen in almost three months. Briefly she wondered if one of her friends had asked Colleen to hang out with her, the thought stopping her for half a moment as the thought of Colleen not really wanting to hang out occurred to her. However, she took a deep breath and reminded herself that Colleen and her were friends and that thoughts like that were just made up by her anxiety. Quickly she picked out a relaxed but defiantly cute outfit. She deftly ignored the thought that she didn't need to dress up to see her so why was she putting in so much effort. Instead she rationalized it by saying the video was going online so of course she should want to look good. That would explain it right? Shutting down any self discovery in that department she grabbed her keys and left her house deciding to drive herself so she could get there quicker.-
Colleen sent out one let text to Gabbie saying something along the lines of being excited to see her again, and went to get ready. The brunette was open enough to admit she did have a bit of a crush on the other girl, and even though she really didn't see anything happening between them she did want to look her casual best. And anyway she had invited Gabbie over so she could see how her friend was doing after all this drama. She knew firsthand how terrible it was to have so many people prying apart parts of your life all over the internet. It was such a bummer that one of her friends, or anyone really, was having to go through this too. She had said they were going to collab, but Colleen didn't have anything in mind for collab ideas. She had taken her time getting ready, and the fact she didn't know what they were going to do was a bit stressful though she knew Gabbie wouldn't mind helping her come up with an idea.
That being said as soon as she finished up her makeup she went to find Kory. Who happened to be sitting in the living room phone in one hand and the other petting Gus Gus. Before she could even say anything he looked up at her seeming to assess her whole state of being in only a few moments- call it a gays intuition- and raised an eyebrow, though he was smiling, "Ooo Someone's getting all dolled up at nine thirty at night, do ya got a hot date?" The questioned caused a look of confusion on Colleen's face that he instantly took for him hitting the nail on the head. "Colleen! And you didn't even did me, why I'd never," jokingly he pretended to flip his hair. "Who is it?"
Regaining her voice she laughed at her best friend waving her hand nonchalantly ,"Not a date a collab. Gabbie's on her way right now." Kory hummed curious. To which Colleen further explained ,"I don't have any ideas. I just wanted to hang out and make sure she was okay after the whole Rice Gum thing is all really." Kory's nose wrinkled at the mention of Rice Gum. Neither of the two were fans of him or anyone who made their careers off of slandering other people. He was even less liked, obviously, after what he had done to Gabbie. "Do you maybe have any ideas for us?"
Kory was sure he could, but he was also pretty sure he knew what the further meaning behind this whole night was which meant that an actual idea wasn't needed. "You should just talk to her girl. You haven't seen her in like forever just spend some time and film if it comes up." Colleen looked hesitant, but didn't have time to think about it too much before the doorbell rang.Gabbie stood outside the door for a few moments her hand hovering over the bell. She was actually super nervous. Must just be because she hadn't seen Colleen in a while. Well either way she was here now and that being so she rang the doorbell. It was only a quick ten seconds before the door was answered. "Gabbie!" Colleen instantly reached out giving her a big 'ol hug. Gabbie laughed returning the hug, and letting her lead her inside.
