DU'A AND AZKAR

CHAPTER 2

AUTHENTIC DUA'S.
AFTER FARD SALAH AND BEFORE RAISING HAND

*1, ONCE- IMMEDIATELY
AFTER TASLEEN.*
اَللَّهُ أَ كْبَر

Pronunciation
Allah-hu Akbar

Translation
Allah is the greatest

Benefit
Ibn Abbas (R.A) said, we used to know that Allah's messenger had finished his prayer when we heard "Allahu Akbar".

*2, THREE- AFTER EVERY FARD SALAH.*

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ ، أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ ، أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ

Pronunciation
Astaghfirullah, Astaghfirullah, Astaghfirullah

Translation
I ask Allah to forgive me

Benefit
Ibn Abbas (R.A) said, The Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, "If anyone constantly seeks pardon from Allah, Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him from where he expects not".

*3, ONCE- AFTER EVERY FARD SALAH.*

اَللَّهُـمَّ أَنْتَ السَّـلاَمُ ، وَمِنْـكَ السَّـلاَمُ ، تَبَـا رَكْتَ يَاذَ الْجَـلاَ لِ وَا لْإِكْـرَامِ

Pronunciation
Alla'humma antas salaam wa min kas salaam taba rakta ya dhal ja laa li wal ik raam

Translation
O Allah! You are peace and from You comes peace. Blessed are You, O owner of Majesty and Honour

Benefit
On the authority of Aisha (R.A) it is reported that whenever the Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings of Allaah be upon him) made the Taslim, he would recite (this Dua).

*4, ONCE- AFTER EVERY FARD SALAH.*

اَللَّهُـمَّ أَعِنِّـيْ عَلَـى ذِكْرِكَ ، وَشُـكْـرِكَ ، وَحُسْـنِ عِبَا دَتِكَ

Pronunciation
Allahumma a'inni ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni ibadatika

Translation
O' Allah Assist me in remembering you, in thanking you, and worshipping you in the best of manners

Benefit
One day the Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allaah be upon him) took Mu'adh Ibn Jabal (R.A) by the hand and said 'O Mu'adh, by Allah I love you, and I advise you, O Mu'adh, never forget to recite (this Du'a), after every prayer (Fard).

*5, ONCE- AFTER EVERY FARD SALAH.*

لاَ إِلَـٰهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْـدَهُ لاَ شَـرِيْكَ لَـهُ ، لَـهُ الْمُـلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْـدُ ، وَهُوَ عَلَـى كُلِّ شَـيْ ءٍ قَدِيرٌ، لاَ حَـوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِا للَّهِ ، لاَ إِلَـٰهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ ، وَلاَ نَعْـبُدُ إِلاَّ إِيَاهُ ، لَـهُ النِّعْمَةُ وَلَـهُ الْفَضْـلُ ، وَلَـهُ الثَّنَاءُ الْحَسَـنُ ، لاَ إِلَـٰهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ مُخْلِصِـيْنَ لَـهُ الدِّيْنَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِـرُونَ
