I rush into the arena...

I quickly dart towards the outskirts of the arena avoiding the snapping jaws of my opponent. I look around as I dodge left, the cheering and yelling hurting my ears. I see the light of an exit but I can't jump out of the arena to reach it without risking the chance of the dog geting a hold on me. I turn back and steady myself, the dog charges me and I know there is no way to reason with it so I charge as well. We slam into one another and in a flurry of teeth and claws I manage to injure it's foot before it jumps away. I rush in and snap at its underbelly, just grazing the surface before I feel it sinks its teeth into my upper foreleg. I yelp and try to get away but its pins me down using its weight to overpower me.

I can't loose, not like this. I writhe underneath the larger canine and notice an opening, I take it without second thought and sink my teeth in its neck. It releases me and I swerve out from underneath it still holding its throat and bring it to the ground. I stand half over it, growling it into submission. The crowd goes nuts around me but all I can focus on is the blood coating my teeth and the whimpers of its submission. I clench my jaw slightly just for reinforcement of my win and release it. The bell sounds and I know the fight is over, the men from before enter the arena and aproach me with the wire sticks. I growl and begin to back up.

Suddenly I hear loud sirens and yelling before the exit bursts open and humans wearing dark grey uniform rush in. They start yelling and humans begin to get to the floor and lay there, I tilt my head slightly confused. Are they higher ranking humans, are they here to help. The men in the arena with me pull out weapons and yell back. My eyes dart around looking for another exit besides the one the men entered from. Suddenly I see flashes of light and loud bangs fill the air and men inside and out of the arena fall. My head pounds and all I can do is whimper. Soon the men inside the arena are all lying on the floor, unmoving. The dog is now whimpering and hiding behind me.

I see three humans, one male and two females, enter the arena talking softly and holding out their hands. The dog next to me stops shaking as much and growls slightly, I join in and search for any weapons on them. Seeing none I lessen my growls and so does the dog. They continue to talk quietly and one of the females pulls out some food. The dog next to me instantly begins to approach them slowly until it finally grabs the food and steps back slightly. I stop growling and watch the exchange as they continue feeding him, they loop a rope around him an lead him out the exit. One of them throws some food towards me and I eat it. I move closer to them and begin to eat from their hand. One of them moves another rope towards me but I growl, twisting my head towards him slightly. "I don't think she is a dog", I look towards the brown haired girl who spoke and tilt my head. She smiles and I turn back to the food.
"I agree, I personally think she might be a wolf", I hear the man say.
"Do you think we should open the doors and let her out" I lift my head the red head girls suggestion and look towards the exit. The other two quickly agree and open up the exit door. I watch as they open the arena door and step to the side. I twist towards the door and quickly dart through it. I can hear my heart pounding in my ears and the blood rushing through my veins. I can smell the fresh air, freedom.
