"Tell me what you know, Lilith," Zacheus demanded.
"What I know is that Pandora will never give up now... that Seth is dead."
Zacheus was well aware Seth was the only glimmer of hope Pandora had, "He's dead?"
"Dead!" Lilith spit out the word, impaling it in Zacheus' brain.
"And another little something that might interest you...I don't doubt that .... human you're so hot for...I don't doubt her family had something to do with it. More important, Pandora thinks so too. So, I wouldn't get too attached to your little playmates, they're not long for this world -- or any other world for that matter!" Lilith was so happy to deliver the news, she threw her head back and laughed. When she did, thunder clapped in the sky above.
Zacheus had heard enough. He knew without Seth, Pandora had little hope of hanging onto her earthly fortune. He suspected Pandora knew the combination in Ashley's blood held greater magic than even she could imagine. If Ashley lived, she could destroy Pandora in both worlds. The children would just be collateral damage. Right now, he had to deal with Lilith.
"I'm not about to live out eternity in the confines of a cup on a mantel because you can't kill some meaningless children!" Lilith's head snapped upward as her arms went rigid at her side. Her feet blended into a large single curl of black smoke. The smoke rose quickly forming an ominous cloud in the shape of a woman illuminated by fire behind her.
"You know I can't let you or Pandora kill Ashley and her family," Zacheus yelled.
The Elemental's head was suddenly beside Zacheus' ear, "Watch me!" she whispered. Rising twenty feet into the air, Lilith glared down at Zacheus, bolts of lightning shot from her fingers across the field onto the roof of the cabin.
"Lilith, No!" his scream lost in a booming punch of thunder as he tried to run toward the cabin.
Again, Lilith was by his ear whispering, "I don't think so, Zacheus!"
Vines sprang from the ground encircling Zacheus in a helpless web of thick vegetation.
