[Chapter 2] Unexpected Guest.

Nick sighed, opening his eyes and staring at the ceiling of his dimmed room with the moonlight peeking through his curtains. He turned to his side and stared at the pillow he was resting on, Nick let out another deep sigh as he reached out for his glasses. He couldn't sleep, and he didn't know why.

"Maybe it's because I left Ashlie out in the pond.."

Now before you say anything, sure it was screwed up to leave the shortest (and only) girl out in the open alone at night in a cold pond but it was because she couldn't control her emotions. She was confused and her emotions could change easily, but now that Nick had been with Ashlie more, he had felt bad for leaving her alone at night time all those times.

"I'm going to visit her.." He mumbled, without a second thought he lifted his legs off the bed and sat up, letting out antihero sigh as he pushed himself to his feet. He shook his legs as he started to walk out of his room, walking out of the doorway that had no door.

Nick walked past Jon's room who was snoring while muttering, "Wubbalubba dub dub.." Over and over again each snore.

Nick tiptoed as he walked part Cory's room, in there there was also a small pug curled up on Cory's stomach as Cory laid on his back, snoring rather loudly.

"Or maybe that's why I couldn't sleep.." Nick whispered, he then tiptoed past Tommy's room, he peered inside when he found nobody there.

"Weird..?" He muttered, Nick shook his head as he made his way down the stairs.

"Good morning, Nicholas." Nick let out a shrill yelp as he turned in the direction of the voice, his eyes meeting with Dawn's emotionless one.

".. Hi.. Dawn.." Nick chuckled nervously, "Why are you up?"

"I can't sleep. I'm a cyborg now, I don't sleep.. I charge like Cory's camera-face.. But he can actually sleep." Dawn explained in a monotone voice, half of his face was human whole the other half was robotic, along with the right and bottom half of his torso. Nick nodded,

"S-So.. How does it feel..?" Nick asked, "Being.. A half robot now?"

"Out of place, I do not feel the same anymore.. I can't really eat but if I do.. I can't taste anything. I can't touch water or else I'll malfunction, I have to charge or else I die temporarily. It's.. Bad."

Nick was silent, he never really Dawn talk like this to anyone before, "I see.. What about Uni? He's trying to make you more.. Human, right?" Nick asked, Dawn sighed but it sounded as if three other small voices were there talking in sync with him.

"Yes, but it's hard. But anyways, where are you off to?" Dawn asked, sitting down. Nick looked out the window,

"Just uh.. Going to check up on Ashlie, ya know?" Dawn nodded.

"Yes, good luck." Dawn nodded, a smile tugging on his lips. Nick returned the smirk as he pushed the door open and walked out, closing the door behind him.

"Right.. Time to check up on Ashlie like the good non-related brother I am." Nick huffed, he started to speed walk past trees and bushes, pushing branches out of the way to only be smacked by another one.

Nick hummed as he looked around, peering around trees to find a rather big pond that couldn't be unavoidable.

"Aha!" He exclaimed, spotting a blue pond that stood out in the moonlight, he passed through some bushes as his eyes were squeezed shut, making sure nothing got in his eyes.
