"Where are you going?" A drunk male voice asked Julie, close to her ear, that made her take a step back. The strange guy tried to put his hands on Julie's waist but she pushed him and tried to go down stairs, but the guy grab her arm to hurt her, that made her scream a bit.

No one could hear Julie, the music was too loud and her friends were probably hooking up with someone. Julie started to think about the possibilities that this guy probably wanted to rape her, so she pushed him again, running down stairs, looking back to see if he was following her, and in fact, he was. But Julie hit someone's chest and looked up to see who she had hit.
For her surprise, it was Nash, so she immediately hugged him and he took her out of there.
They got into Nash's car and he started to drive home, without saying a word, that made Julie remembered everything that had happen between them.

"Hey..." she spokes "we need to talk about wh-" but Nash didn't let her finished.

"We have nothing to talk about." He spat and didn't look at her, eyes on the road.

"Nash" Julie calls him, but didn't get his attention. "Nash!" She exclaims.

Nash turned to her, waiting for her to talk, he was angry with himself, being in love with someone so beautiful, it broke his heart when he saw she was crying. Nash thought she's an angel, how could he make her cry?

"Nash..., these days have been awful. I miss your letters, they somehow made me forget about everything bad in my life and made me think I was not alone in this shitty world." She said. " I like you, I really do"

"You're wrong. You don't like me" he answers her, without looking.

"Yes, I do!" Julie exclaims, offended by his words.

"You're drunk, you don't know what you're saying" Nash says, driving again.

Julie looks at him, still shocked, how could he say that?

"Okay stop!" Julie exclaims, making Nash stop the car, again.
He wasn't looking at her, the car was pure silence and Julie was waiting for him to say a word. It didn't happen. "Nash..."

"Get out" he says.

"No! I'm not going to get out of your car, we need to tal-"

"Get the fuck out of my car!" Nash exclaims. Julie was shocked, she opened the car door and get out of it, tears were falling and cars were not passing.

Nash put his head on the steering wheel, not after had hit it, he put his hands on his hair pulling it up and growling. But, isn't that what he wanted? Julie liked him! He must be excited about it, but instead, he was there thinking he could never be good for her.

Nash decided to get out of the car too, Julie was still in the highway, Nash could only see her back.
Julie had her hand over her mouth and the other one cross on her chest, but she heard the door closing so she turned at Nash.
He was destroyed, his eyes were red, his mouth chapped and faded and his hair was a mess. Julie didn't want to see him that way, Julie wanted them to get a chance.

So she did what Nash wasn't expecting. She walked towards to him, grabbed his cheeks and press their lips. Julie promised to herself that night, with tears falling from their cheeks, she promised that, they will get a chance together.

"Our lips connected,
Our breaths close,
Our love growing."

They were there, kissing on the highway, with their hearts destroyed; they had exploded, they wanted it. They needed it.
