"Mom.. Is Erin walking to school with us?" A little Jay asked.
"Well why don't you go ask Hank and see if she's ready." His mother said as he basically skipped to her house. Erin and Jay are close. Some say it's cute while others find it odd. Hank took Erin in at 3 after finding her on the streets abandoned by her mother- a drug addict. "I'm coming ! I'm coming !" Erin said as Jay basically dragged her out if her house. Once they got there the had to find out what teachers they got. There were two Kindergarten Classes. Mrs.P (who had a ling name no one could pronounce) and Mrs. Anderson. "I have an Erin Lindsay and a Jay Halstead." Jays mother said. "Ahh...Yes... Let me find what class there in.." the teacher said. Erin and Jay squeezed each other's hands tightly praying for the same teachers. "Jay has mrs anderson...And Erin........Has......... Mrs Anderson!" "Yes!" They both said as they skipped away to their teachers after saying goodbye to Jays mom. Hank would have been there but he was a detective at the Chicago PD. Gang Unit. He got called in on an emergency. It was around lunch time. With Erin and jay one went where the other decided to go. Kindergarten was scary for them. New kids, new school, new people. They Never left each other's side. During Lunch on the 2nd month of school  Erin and Jay (whom were sitting on a rock sorting rocks by shape) were approached by some kids. "Hi" one said with a nast look on her face. "Why don't you guys hang out with anyone else?" They just looked at each other and shrugged. "I know why..." One of the boys started. "Their boyfriend and girlfriend!" Everyone started laughing. "We are not!" Erin yelled. "We are Best Friends!" She continued. They kept laughing. "Sure." They said laughing. They kept bringing that up. The kids even told the teacher no matter how many times they denied it. Erin always put up a fight. She was stubborn. Even then. JK flew by aside from the bullying. But they had each other and that's all that matters.
