Unbeatable Love

Chapter 5

I am standing in front of Ophelia's front door with a stupid smile on my face.Somehow I knew that she would react this way. Since the day when she said no I have hounding the coach every second I get ,first I found out her name and then i begged and I never beg him to take me to dinner with him.After saying no few times he finally agreed and I called Alex so that he could come with me to the dinner.If we were  insulted or something like what happened with the door closing in our faces I wanted my brother with me so that we could feel this together.             

"So that's the girl whose pants you want to get into" Alex asks with an eyebrow raised in question and a smile on his face.He is enjoying this me chasing after a girls that shithead.          

"Yeah that's Ophelia and how many times do I have to tell I just want to get to know her"  I say became he thinks I am only after this girl for fun has he has said a hundred times since I have told him.   

"So do we just keep standing here" he asks and folds his hands against his chest.                            

"Yup let's see for a few minutes " I say hoping like hell that coach convinces Ophelia to welcome us.I know it was wrong to corner her like this but I knew that if I didn't do anything then Ophelia would never ever to talk to me so I don't mind being a little stalker-ish if that's what it takes to see her.                                                

 We stand there for for a few seconds when the door opens and Ophelia is standing there and she looks at both of us and says " Come on in there is plenty of food but this is just dinner got it"         

" Got it " I say with my best grin that makes the girls crazy but Ophelia just sighs and steps aside and we both enter her house.Her house is a two storey house and is in good condition but what has me liking this place is all the knickknacks that are spread around the house. " You have a beautiful house" I say to Ophelia who is walking in front of us.She looks back and  says " thank you" and then comes to a stop in a room that is definitely the dining room the dining table has a sitting of eight people and Coach is already seated and so are two kids one of them is Ophelia's brother Liam the other kid is also about his age both of them are engrossed in there own talk while coach is just sitting there. 

" Take a seat dinner is ready and we will just bring it " Ophelia says and hearing her speak up both the kids look up and see us.

The kid who I don't know says " Holy shit  yo..you are Xander Conway ". 

" Language Shane" Ophelia chides. 

"Sorry Lia but this is Xander Conway " he says to Ophelia with wide eyes like that explains everything and to tell you the truth I feel a little happy because neither Ophelia or her brother showed like they knew me at all "Why is he here" he asks the room in general.  

"He is having dinner with us " Ophelia says and then introduces me and Alex to the kids and then leaves to room we sit on the opposite side of the two kids. 

 " I am a big fan of yours.You are awesome dude" Shane says to me with a smile but before I can say anything Liam says with an eye roll "bro stop with the fangirling Lia hates him".

'She does not hate me ' i say to him.

'Well she does not like you either ' he says with a shrug and i try not to be affected but my confidence comes down a notch.

'I don't care man he is like one of my idols Liam,Sandy ,Lia and me have seen all your fights ' Shane says.At that a huge smile comes on my face. 

'Dude don't tell him that 'Liam says an hits him on his arm.

Just then Ophelia comes back from the kitchen with a tray in each hand behind her is a girl who is around her age with who is all but five foot  two inches and i realise that it's the same girl who came to gym with Ophelia the other day. she has blonde hair while Ophelia's hair is black as midnight even though the girl is good looking my eyes again find Ophelia.They put the trays on the table and the other girl sits on only chair near the kids and Ophelia glares at her while she she smiles so Ophelia has no choice but to sit next to me which she does with a scowl on her face which just makes her look damn adorable.

'So let's dig in ' coach says from where he is seated and observing everything.At that everyone starts to pile up their plates with food and for a few minutes no one speaks up and then i say  looking at ophelia with a grin 'So Shane told me that you have watched all my fights ' 

'I just like MMA' she says in a defensive tone.

'So that means you like me too because i am the best in MMA' i say trying to get a reaction out of her.Everyone at the tables laughs at that and even Ophelia mouths curves in a smile and she mutters something about a big head.I look at Alex and she that he is shoveling food down his throat at a rapid speed.

'Geez dude slow down ' i say to him.

'This is damn good food ' he says because we always order takeouts and i mostly have to eat healthy food which often has no taste.

'Eat as much as you want there is plenty ' Ophelia says to him with a smile and i get a little jealous that she is way nice to him than to me .

'Ok ' he responds still shoveling more food and looking at Sandy while doing so who looks at him in bewilderment.

'So Lia ' shane says and pause and when ophelia is looking at him he says 'There is a party at Adam's house tomorrow can we go'.

'What were your score on the science quiz this week ' she asks .

'We did not have a quiz ' Liam replies.

'Oh yeah ' she says and looks at both of them .

'Ok so we did have a quiz but we haven't received the scores yet ' Liam says in a nervous voice.

'Uh huh is that right' she asks and both of them nod 'Mr smith called me and told me that the scores were given to you on wednesday' she says in a calm voice.At that both boys groan and Shane says 'It's not fair Mr smith is always flirting with you of course he would call you'.

Ophelia gasps and says 'That's not true he must have called all the parents'.

'Nope just you' Liam says.

'No it's not' Ophelia argues.

'He does flirt with you a lot lia ' Sandy says with a smile on her face and i decide that i need to tell this prick to back off from my girl .woah where did my girl come from .Everyone starts to laugh at that  and i find that i am enjoying this having dinner with people much more than i like to be alone in my house.Throughout dinner conversation is flowing and the mood is good.After dinner Ophelia brings apple pie and coach says it's time to head home.Ophelia tells us to wait for a few minutes and comes back with two bags with containers filled with leftovers and gives on to coach and one to Alex who thanks and kisses her on the hand and i will kill him later. 

'Where are mine leftovers ' i ask her.

'There are none left for you' she says and then i step up to her kiss her on the cheek and say 'See you next Friday ' her mouths opens in an a shocked expression and before she regain her composure and reply i turn around and leave with Alex following behind me.Once we get to my apartment i take the bag from him and say ' this is mine'.He says he will fight me for it and  say to bring it on.I put the leftover in my fridge and then open a beer and sit on the sofa drinking it and think that i need to have to kids in my corner if i want Ophelia to like me.So operation impress kids is now in full swing.
