~ A Week later ~

I knew the school was coming up in less than a couple of weeks and I was scared. I never had friends, probably because of my low self-system or my quiet yet emo look. I never wanted to look emo, I just like their clothing, and their music, and their hair style... I got up from my bed texting Keith, 

~Text Message~

Deadbite: Hey Blue bird, just woke up?

Blue Bird: Yeah kinda

Deadbite: Are you busy this Friday?

Blue Bird: Not for sure

DeadBite: It's because I wanted to go on a date?

Blue Bird: We're not even dating but sure let me got see

I walk down stairs to see my mother talking with a guy, he was one of those casual types. 

"Oh this is my son, Jace"

"Hey there kiddo"

"Don't call me that, my names Jace and I would like me to be called that"

There were a few seconds of silents then my mom let out a low nervous chuckle.

"Let me go speak with Jace alone" 

She grabs me by my shirt and carry me into the other room shutting the door

"What do you think you doing"

"Tell him my name because apparently, he didn't get it the first time you told him"

"You will be nice and respectful"

"Why?"

"Because"

"You think you found the one? Oh and that reminds me can I hang out with my friend Friday?"

"Yeah I think he's the one and if you be nice to mister John then I'll let you go, what time will you be home?"

"Around 10 maybe, his dad is going to drop me off"

"Ok fine but you have to be nice or you're not going"

"Fine" 

We walk back out to where 'Mister John' Was

"Sorry Mister John"

"Oh no it's fine"

I let for upstairs without a word. What the point all of this anymore? Mom moved on so easily when dad died and I haven't, I don't want an another dad I want him.

Deadbite: You there Jace?

Blue Bird: Oh right sorry yeah, she said I can

Deadbite: Good, I have to get to work, I'll talk to you later

Blue Bird: You too bye

Deadbite: Bye
