Promise

The next morning I had woken up on the couch. I look around to see that I was at Keith's house. I look over to see Keith cooking something. I then smelled pancakes, my favorite morning food. 

"Keith?"

He turns around and says

"Oh, morning Blue bird"

Jaybird was my username on the Xbox so he must have gotten it from there. I get up from the couch and walk over to the counter and sat down watching him cook. Does Keith have the same feelings as I do about him? I guess I won't know till I ask but I was scared. What if he thought it was weird and then never want to talk to me again? I can't lose another person in my life. Like my brother and father. 

"Hungry?"

"Uh?"

His words snap me from my thoughts, after rethinking the question I reply with,

"Oh uh yeah thanks"

"Anytime, So I was hoping we could maybe go somewhere together"

"Like where?"

"Well, I was thinking the Mall"

"I don't have any money"

"Oh don't worry about that, I got you covered"

"Uh, No thanks it's ok, I wouldn't pay you back till I'm 16 or 18"

"School starts back up in a mouth correct?"

"Yeah"

"And we need to get you clothing, also I'll have you pay me back" 

He says with a devilish smirk. I instantly blush and look down

"W-what did you have in mind"

I said as I proceeded to look down

"Well, knowing me I have a lot of things in mind, Here change into this"

He hands me a pair of his clothing.

"They're too small for me anyway"

I went into the bathroom and quickly got changed. The blue skinny jeans fit perfectly but the shirt was a little too big. It went past my hand. I didn't care though. Keith hands me a pile of pancakes with syrup on top. It looked like amazing. I quickly ate it and then Keith got ready. Once he was done we both walked to his car and got in.

After around 15 minutes of driving, we stopped at the mall. It was a big place and I never go because of money problem. We walk inside and I followed Keith around

"So what store?"

"Uh, I don't know I never been to a mall"

"Oh, so you never been here?"

"No"

"Well, what things are you into?"

"Well gaming of Crouse" 

"Hmm, Maybe hot topic"

Keith took me to a place with the words hot topic on it. We looked around, inside I saw a bunch of Gaming, band, and tv show things. 

"Look around and pick what you want, I'll be right back"

"Ok"

I looked around a bit till I seen black skinny jeans with a blink 182 shirt. I picked them out and then just looked around. After a few minutes Keith comes back and then I showed him what I picked

"Blink 182?"

"Yeah"

"I didn't know you were into that kind of music"

"I only like a couple of their songs but they mean a lot to me"

"Ok well let's pay for it"

We walk up to the cash register while Keith was getting out the money he owed

"Oh is that your son?"

The girl question

"Oh no uh, he's my friend"

"Well you look really young, what your name"

She asks me

"It's Jace"

"That's a nice name, mines Layda"

"Thanks"

Once Keith gave the girl the money she smiled and said

"Have a nice day Jace"

"you too"

As we walk out I look up at Keith to see he was kinda mad. But why? 

Now we were down the road heading somewhere else. I turn and ask

"Are we going home now?"

"Uh no, Were going somewhere else" 

I notice he wasn't mad anymore. Or was it jealousy. I let out a sigh in confusion and looked out the window. Once the car stopped I notice that we were in the woods. The sun was going down though and kinda fast. I was curious what he was doing out here so I asked,

"Keith?"

"Yeah"

"What are we going out here?"

"I have to show you something" 

"Ok" 

We stop at a hill that over look the forest with the sun setting. It was amazing how everything looked. 

"Uh Jace"

He sounds so nervous now

"I wanted to tell you something but I don't know how to"

"What is it?"

"I think I... I.. "

He pulls something out of his pocket and then grabs my hand. He slowly slipped on a golden ring that had a small light blue gem in the middle

"Promise you won't leave me"

I look up in his eyes to see it looked like he was going to cry, I look down at my hand in his and said

"Of crouse, I won't, As long as you never leave me I won't leave you, Keith"

I wrap my arms around his stomach and he hugged me back. I was so scared of losing him and he was so scared of losing me this whole time.
