You know those moments, those sudden moments where you know you're screwed. When you know if you don't get out of the said situation, you'll be in too deep and you will be fucked over. Hard. Like when the wind knocks over everything that you've worked hard for. Everything you've built till now all gone down with the rain. When there is no return. No solace and only a fucked up situation lying on a platter. That is precisely how I felt the moment I saw him. His gaze made me uncomfortable and good at the same time. Like he was given the authority to make me feel this way.

I stood straighter. Pretender. You know you're fucked.

"Where is the car? Let's not waste anymore time if we can help it" I got straight to point. I was not going to fuck around. I had work to do.

"Yes this little trip did put a dent on my schedule. Follow me. Let's get this done." Grumbling he muttered something under his breath which sounded something like better things to do.

The nerve of this guy. Who was he anyway. I'll need to talk to Angelo about his manners, I thought to myself.

We made our way o'er to the airport parking. This godly beast of a creature was hard to keep up with but I wasn't going to let him know that. I wasn't going to let him know anything. Period.

We arrived and stood next to a ford mustang and I whistled.

"This baby is all mine ? Sweet Jesus" I exclaimed as I walked around adoring the car in complete awe.

"This 'baby' is mine technically but I've assigned it to you for the weekend. Generally I don't let anyone touch it much less drive it but Angelo put in a request. And you know when Angelo requests something, you deliver. " he told me as he unlocked the car and got inside. I settled next to him after keeping my belongings in the back.

We sat in the car, no one saying anything. I wonder why he won't put it in ignition and just drive.

"What are you waiting for?" I asked him, irritation dripping from my words.

He looked at him. The same intense gaze as before. Like he was trying to unfold a mystery. Like I was a book waiting to be read till the end.

He shook his head his gaze suddenly turning hard. He looked away and ahead.

"Why and how do you know Angelo? How come I've never seen or heard of you before?" Now he looked at me again.

"I'm glad you're not aware of information that doesn't concern you in the very least. Now can we get a move on?" Exasperated, I gave him an incredulous look and ushered for him to get going.

"Seeing the level of camaraderie between me and him, I should be aware of what business you have with him. Or in this town"

Hearing his last words I almost choked on sir. No. I wasn't going to give in. He'll be the last person on earth I'd let inquire about my life.

"Listen up Mr whoeveryouthinkyouare I don't have the time nor the energy to stay and chat. Time is precious for me so if you're not willing to cooperate I'll just have to make you the hard way."

Glaring st him, I almost lost my cool. What was his problem. He could keep asking for all I cared, I wasn't going to budge. I had little time for pleasantries. He looked at me for a couple seconds before putting the keys into ignition.

"Sooner or later I'll know. Trust me on that Leslie."

I chose the ignore the tingles that ran up my sides whenever he said my name. Mask on.

We drove out and away from the airport and back into the city. It was really difficult to think when this hunk of a man was sitting next to me. His very capable hands shifting the gears with utter finesse. I wondered how strong they were. Sliding up my sides, grabbing onto my waist.
Snap out of it Les. Get those dirty thoughts out of your mind. You can't afford any distractions. Not a chance.
