I stare glumly at my disheveled reflection as I press some buttons to get a coffee. I don’t even drink coffee, but I need to stay awake for when he wakes up. I wander back to him room. He’s had surgery and we are just waiting for him to wake up. I go to sit by his bedside but trip on my own feet and the coffee flies forward to the unsuspecting Taehyung. I try unsuccessfully to catch liquid before it hits him. Its too late. The coffee splashes onto his hand and surprisingly his hand jerks away. I'm now fussing about trying to mop up and I miss him waking up. He says my name which catches my attention. I jerk my head towards him and tears flooded my eyes. I leant forward to hold him in my arms. He leaned forward and whispered in my ear, “I love you too”.
